Becoming SelfGentle also means that we can comfort ourselves when needed. In this track, Femke guides you in a self-comforting moment and lets you experience that your love rests in your own heart. It's a short practice of selfgentleness that you can use every time you need to be comforted. Femke's voice is accompanied by the beautiful music composed by Insight Timer teacher Blossom Violet, which also inspired Femke to create this track. Photo by Victoria Aleksandrova on Unsplash

Transcript

Let's take this moment to really,

Gently,

Tenderly hold yourself.

Wrap your arms around yourself and gently close your eyes.

Feel how you are holding yourself,

Supporting yourself.

Feel how your arms are the strongest arms in the whole world to hold you whenever you need it.

You might even want to rock yourself a little bit from left to right or back and forth.

You can caress yourself gently as if you were your own parent,

Comforting you,

Supporting you,

Holding you.

With the power of your own embrace,

You give yourself such a beautiful present.

You tell yourself,

You make yourself feel that you are here for you.

You tell yourself that whatever has happened,

Whatever happens right now,

And whatever will happen,

That you've got your own back.

It is the tender embrace of our own gentleness,

Our own love.

That will make us feel deeply loved,

Deeply cherished.

And it will help you feel worthy,

Just as you are.

Because you are worthy,

You are lovable,

You are loved.

Now,

While you're sitting,

Holding yourself with your eyes closed,

You can bring your attention to your heart space in the middle of your chest.

And just be aware of your beautiful heart that is beating always there for you.

Giving you life,

Giving you love,

Telling you that you are special,

That you are unique,

And that you are loved.

Always,

No matter what you do,

No matter what you feel,

No matter what you think,

Your own heart knows the truth.

You are you,

Just like you are meant to be,

And you are a,

You are a,

You are exactly right.

And if you feel emotions right now,

That's okay.

It is something special to hold yourself,

To feel your own love,

And sometimes that might touch you,

Might move you,

And that's okay.

If so,

Simply caress yourself,

Rock yourself,

And tell yourself I've got your back.

My love,

I'm here for you,

I'm holding you,

I'm loving you,

Always.

Sit for a moment,

And enjoy that connection with your own love,

Your own support.

And when you're ready to move on into your day,

And just remember,

You can always hold yourself.

And listen to the love that speaks from your own heart for you.
