Hello,
Today we will be meditating to let go of all beliefs and identities that no longer serve us and open ourselves to new things to come.
We will let go of the excessive need to control things,
Control the process of this meditation and of life in general that need to control results and control what goes on around us.
We will practice to learn to let go and trust,
Trust ourselves and life in the process.
We will connect to our inner strength and our possibilities of taking on what comes along and know that we can grow from it and that we are resilient and strong.
We will begin our meditation by moving our bodies a little bit from side to side,
Shaking off any stagnant energy and begin connecting with our bodies.
We will sit in position for meditation.
This practice we are going to do today is ideal to be done laying down,
If not possible you can do it sitting also.
Place your hands looking up and opening your chest and yourself to this experience.
When you feel ready you can close your eyes and let's start by doing deep breaths,
Extending our inhale slowly,
Deeply,
Holding our breath for a moment and extending our exhale.
Feel as you inhale how your belly begins to expand and how it goes down and feels like it empties with your exhale.
Take a deep breath and feel how your body feels with each inhale and each exhale.
Leave behind all the background noise,
The voices in your head,
What happened before this.
Just leave behind the worries and the stress of the week.
Just breathe and let it go.
And let's set the intention for today's meditation.
We're going to let go of control,
Of expectations.
We're going to let go of what happened to us before,
Where things didn't go how we wanted them to,
When we didn't act like we expected.
And open ourselves for new things to come.
Letting go of what doesn't serve us and opening to receiving new things and to connecting to our inner strength,
Our worth,
Our intuition.
Opening up to the possibility of something wonderful coming in and cleaning and opening spaces for new stages of our life,
For love and growth to come.
Remember that if a thought comes along what we're meditating,
It's okay.
You can just look at it,
Identify it,
Name it,
And let it continue its way gently without resistance.
Imagine that you could touch the thought with a soft goose feather and let it pass like a cloud.
You can name it,
Planning,
Worry,
Distraction,
And then come back to your breathing.
Anchor yourself in the present moment and focus on the sound of my voice and use it as an anchor to come back if your mind wanders.
Now connect with your body,
Allow it to relax,
Feel your thoughts moving more slowly,
And connect with how your physical body is feeling today.
How each and every cell of your body responds to your attention and connect with a sense of well-being thanks to this time you're giving yourself.
Feel your head,
Your eyes,
Your jaw,
You can open it slightly and then let your lips barely touch so it's very relaxed.
Feel your neck,
Your back,
Your chest,
And your heart,
How it moves naturally,
How each breath and each heartbeat accompanies you and takes care of you.
Feel your hands,
Your fingers,
Observe if there's pulsing,
Feel your legs,
Your feet,
Feel your connection to the earth beneath you.
Now we're going to focus our attention inwards,
Connect to that place inside of you that is much deeper than the surface.
Let's go beyond what other people think of you,
Beyond material things,
Roles,
What you do,
What you have,
Let's go deeper in you and connect with your own power of creation with that enormous inner strength that we all have inside us,
Where your infinite worth and value is,
From where your intuition comes.
Remember there's no perfect way to visualize it,
It's unique for everyone and the wonderful thing is just to open and witness it.
Now you're going to visualize yourself floating in a pool of water,
Feel the water beneath you,
How it feels to float,
The temperature of the water,
How relaxed you feel,
And you're going to imagine that someone you trust,
Someone you fully trust,
Is helping you stay afloat,
With one head on your back,
Another on your neck,
It can be yourself holding yourself,
And you feel that you can let your head fall back,
You can let it go,
You can let go all your body because you feel held and safe,
Feel the water underneath you,
Feel how it holds you and how you can relax and surrender your entire body to this sensation of floating,
You can release the anxiety,
The effort,
The need to do something or be in a different place to this present moment.
Feel how you can let go and know that you won't drown because you know you're being held,
You're being loved and supported,
You're floating at peace,
You're taking the time to rest,
To recharge,
To absorb,
And to prepare yourself in silence within you,
With you,
For a new chapter of your life to come.
Now you're going to visualize how old beliefs,
Ideas,
Stories,
Identities,
Visions that limit you are going to come out from you,
You feel safe enough to let them go out of your body into the water,
Expanding outwards,
You feel safe to say goodbye and let them go,
Let go of everything that no longer serves you,
You can thank it for what it taught you and you fully let it go and you open yourself to new possibilities and to connecting with your inner power and strength,
With your own voice and your intuition.
You allow yourself to float free from pressure,
From noise,
From distractions,
You allow yourself to rest and you let your mind move freely without telling it what results you want,
Allow yourself to relax and listen and slowly like small drops,
You begin to hear your intuition,
Your inner voice,
And the inspiration that comes from the deepest parts of you and you might hear different noises,
Words,
Sensations,
Maybe you don't quite understand it all yet,
But slowly all the pieces will settle and together will appear,
We don't force it,
We're just in peace,
Quiet,
With acceptance of this moment,
Open to the experience of life and the present moment just as it is now,
Floating,
Supported and held,
Set a conscious intention to allow yourself to feel and connect,
Feel your body how it's getting filled with energy and strength and life and love and know that you have this space of rest within you and you can return to it whenever you need to,
Where you can rest,
Not a rest of giving up or of quitting,
Just a break to rest in peace,
A sacred space within you,
Full of acceptance that connects with the wisdom you hold inside,
With your intuition and the power of your inner voice,
In this sacred space you grant yourself silence and space to grow,
Feel this place of rest,
Of contemplation,
How it feels enough as it is and how it feels satisfactory and significant and how it gives you satisfaction and it feels significant in and of itself and know that this place of peace,
Of calm is always within you,
Exhale and let go of judgment and inhale and feel your body with acceptance,
Exhale and let go of any guilt or shame and inhale and fill your whole body with understanding and comprehension and support,
Exhale and let go of fear and inhale deeply and fill yourself up with confidence and strength and support and lastly exhale pain and suffering and inhale and fill yourself up with love,
All your body,
Let love cover you,
Thank yourself for taking this time and space for you and remember you can return to it whenever you need to,
Connect with your body where you're sitting or lying,
Feel the movement of each inhale and exhale,
Feel the sounds,
Smells,
Come back to the place you're in and when you're ready you can open your eyes.

It has been a long week for me and one of my more important visualizations is floating on my back as it is very relaxing. As a youth it was one of my favorite things to do in the pool. The thing is I realized that with the daily noise of doing I had completely forgot about this visualization. Thank you for reminding me of it so that I can add it back to my relaxation tool kit.
