Welcome.
You've made it here,
And you are welcome here.
So go ahead and land.
Sit down or lie down,
Allowing your bones to settle into the support underneath you.
Relaxing those muscles that hold you up and move you throughout the day.
Acknowledging that you've already taken that first step,
Or really those first few steps.
You've noticed that something is going on,
And you've made a decision to turn inward and be with it.
And so as you rest your body,
Maybe even lowering your gaze if you haven't already,
Or closing your eyes,
Just breathe.
And notice what's happening in your body.
Keeping in mind that as we turn inwards to continue to listen to the body,
Sensations of overwhelm,
Upset,
Burnout can often be connected to parts who live in our bodies.
And that also sometimes overwhelm is the body's call to pay attention.
To maybe receive instead of just pouring out.
To maybe speak less and rest more.
To maybe slow down.
And so we'll make space for that as well as we go through the practice.
Because one of the things that I've been finding to be true is that some things are just how our brain processes information,
And some things are how parts respond to those challenges.
And so just notice whatever sensations are moving through your body right now.
Maybe there's a tightness or a looseness.
Maybe an electric feeling of tension.
Just notice.
And as you notice,
Let's breathe in the qualities of self.
Imagining clouds slowly drifting apart as light shines through.
With connection.
With sweet compassion.
With courage and clarity.
And the beautiful wisdom that your parts have to offer you right now.
And also just check and see for anything at all on the inside.
Whether thoughts,
Feelings,
Sensations,
Or images.
Anything that feels really big.
And maybe so big that you're actually finding it hard to remain present.
And that's okay too.
And so let these parts know.
These ones that may be dialed up in intensity.
That you,
That we,
Really,
Really get that something important is happening here right now.
And another truth to offer to them is that you can better offer them whatever it is that they need.
If they would just soften,
Even just around the edges.
So keep noticing.
You are here.
I'm here.
Drawing on the collective self-energy of the world around us.
We are not alone.
And you are not alone.
Beginning to focus in on the part that you're going to be with first.
This may be the loudest part.
This might be the strongest part.
This might be the most hurt part.
And it's totally up to your system to decide how this part wants to be known by you.
And so just notice what this part wants to tell you.
What the story or message that it has for you today is.
What does this part need you to know about suffering?
Notice how you're feeling towards this part.
This one that bravely stepped forward first.
How are you feeling towards it?
And so if you notice feelings towards this part,
Like anger,
Rage,
Judgment,
There's important information there.
Or maybe you're noticing anything that just feels like not open,
Not curious.
And see if you can ask those parts that are feeling this way if they'd be willing to just give you some space right now.
Maybe even inviting them to the broader space around you instead.
Welcoming these parts that have a reaction to the one that you're with right now to be part of observing as well.
And then offering the part some curiosity.
What's the wisdom it's intending to share here?
What happens to this part when it feels your curiosity?
Does it change in any way?
How's it connecting with you now?
What's making sense to you from what this part is sharing?
Let it know everything that's making sense and that you're here to really try to understand and how you're feeling toward it now.
Maybe sending that to the part.
You know,
Sometimes our parts do just a phenomenal job of speaking truth to us.
And so if what they're carrying is a response to a sense of physical overwhelm,
Sensory overload,
Burnout,
Or the human body feeling really worn down,
See if you can take that in.
See if you can allow yourself to receive the clarity of these parts.
These parts that are carrying possibly a truth about what you need.
So maybe offering the part you're in connection with and any other part showing up now.
And those parts that were observing alongside you,
Offering them some gratitude for the information that you've received and for bringing your attention back to your body.
And if it feels right and your heart is open,
You can even ask these parts,
What do they need?
What does your body need?
What is the need that you can meet for yourself right now?
Or if something is needed outside of this practice,
Allow the creativity of self to let what's needed be known to you.
Allowing your parts and you to be.
You belong here.
Now I want to invite you to notice what it feels like to be in your body now.
Offering gratitude for your system for being with you and allowing the opportunity for slowing down.
What's the intensity level like now?
And so just landing here as we prepare to release the practice,
Honoring your willingness to be with what is and compassionately hold what needed to be held.
And now as we close this practice,
Remembering that your mind,
Body and spirit are integrated.
Notice how listening in has been a gift to yourself,
To your parts,
And to the life that moves through you.
Allowing this acceptance of yourself,
Your system,
How you process,
How you and how energy moves through you,
To be.
And then bring your awareness back to the breath,
Taking a slow full inhale and a gentle exhale.
Noticing your fingers and your toes,
Maybe wiggling them softly.
If it feels right,
Allowing your body to stretch or move,
Yawn,
In whatever way feels natural.
And then when you're ready,
Re-entering this moment and space and slowly and gently opening your eyes.
Thank you.
