Hello,

My name is Evan and today I will be leading you in a simple meditation.

And this is a mantra meditation where every third breath we're going to be repeating a mantra.

And the mantra is Inner Peace.

I remember a scene in Kung Fu Panda when Po is walking up the mountain to Master Shifu.

And Master Shifu is standing on a rock saying to himself,

Inner Peace,

Inner Peace.

And it made me think about how meditation is a practice.

And how much focus and intention it takes to have Inner Peace.

But also how simple it is.

As simple as saying the word to yourself,

Inner Peace.

Now if you aren't in a very peaceful mindset right now,

That's okay.

You might be feeling angry,

You might be feeling joyful and excited,

You might be feeling sad.

Or you might be feeling peaceful.

So just being aware throughout this meditation if you are feeling a certain way.

And just being accepting of that.

Just being okay with however you're feeling.

So let's just become aware of our breath.

Breathing in and breathing out.

Just being aware of the sensations in our mouth or in our nostrils.

How our body feels as we breathe in and as we breathe out.

Just focusing our attention on how our breath feels.

Now as we breathe in and out,

We're going to count.

Just keep track in our mind if this is our first breath,

Our second breath,

Or our third breath.

Breathing in and out in a natural pace.

If you're breathing fast,

Breathe fast.

If you're breathing slow,

Breathe slow.

Just let yourself breathe at the natural pace.

Once.

Twice.

And three times.

And on the third breath,

As you exhale,

Say to yourself,

Inner Peace.

So breathing in and out three times.

And on the third time,

As you exhale,

Saying Inner Peace.

Return your focus to your breath.

Every three breaths,

Repeating Inner Peace.

And if you find your mind wandering or focusing on something else,

Just bringing your attention back to your breath.

Back to your breath.

If you find your thoughts wandering,

Just bringing your attention back to your breath.

Bringing your attention back to your breath.

Back to your breath.

After every third breath,

Exhale and say Inner Peace.

Breathing in and out three times.

And on the third time,

Saying to yourself,

Inner Peace.

And bringing your attention back to your breath.

Just being aware of how our breath feels.

As we inhale and exhale.

How our body feels as we breathe.

Just being aware of the breath.

If any thoughts come to mind,

Or you feel yourself drifting into thinking about something,

Just being aware of that and bringing your attention back to your breath.

Back to how your breath feels.

Following its inhale and its exhale.

And on the third breath,

Saying to yourself,

Inner Peace.

Inner Peace.

Thank you for joining me.

When the recording ends,

You can continue meditating if you would like.
