Transcript
Welcome to this guided session on dynamic breathwork.
My name is Eric Schott,
And I'm thrilled to share this practice with you today.
Dynamic breathwork is an activating technique presenting a multitude of benefits,
Making this your one-stop shop for breathing exercises.
During this introduction,
I will personally explain and coach you through the benefits and each step of this modality,
And then we will practice in real time.
As always,
I encourage you to leave any comments,
Questions,
Or suggestions,
As I love seeing and responding to your feedback.
With that said,
Let's dive right in to dynamic breathwork.
The breathwork modality we will be practicing today activates our physiology in spectacular ways.
Some of the benefits include a boost in the immune system,
Protecting us against any infection or disease.
This breathwork technique also decreases inflammation in the body,
Which will aid in alleviating symptoms of allergies,
Arthritis,
Or asthma.
Finally,
With daily practice,
This exercise can bring with it increases in longevity,
Endurance,
Libido,
And a noticeable shift in stress management.
To start dynamic breathwork,
We will begin by doing 33 controlled hyperventilated breaths in and out through the mouth.
On the inhale,
We'll be taking a full breath in,
Filling up the belly,
Chest,
And head,
And then on the exhale,
Letting the breath out naturally,
Not forcing it.
It'll sound like this.
On the 33rd inhale,
We will fill up the lungs fully,
And then exhale out with a sigh.
After this exhale,
We will hold and begin our breath retention anywhere from one to two minutes,
Sounding like this.
Within this track today,
Once the varying breath retention has concluded,
You will be guided to inhale through the nostrils.
Place the tip of the tongue on the roof of the mouth and take a big breath through the nose,
Sounding like this.
Fill up the lungs as much as you can and hold this breath.
Shortly thereafter,
We will take sips of air through the mouth to fill the lungs up even more,
Maxing out our lung capacity and boosting longevity.
It will sound like this.
From here,
We will expand the lungs by dropping the shoulders,
Relaxing the throat,
And focusing on releasing any tension within the body.
Once we have held the breath on the inhale for about a minute,
We will be guided to release a breath with a cosmic ohm,
Sounding like this.
This could prove to be slightly challenging at first,
But with practice,
You will master this final step in no time at all.
At this point,
I would invite you to get into a comfortable position,
Finding a safe and soft area to hold your vessel in our practice today.
You can either be lying down flat on your back on a bed,
Yoga mat,
Or the ground as you see fit.
If you are prone to fainting or blacking out at all,
I would recommend that you lie down for this exercise today.
If not,
You can do this practice sitting up with a straight back and feet flat on the earth.
Just make sure that there are cushions and a soft landing in the very off chance of passing out.
With all that said,
Let's dive into dynamic breath work.
Let's begin by taking a foundational breath through the nose,
Filling up the belly,
Chest,
And head.
Filling up all the way and holding at the top,
Now sigh it out.
Let's do that again.
Deep breath in,
Holding at the top,
Opening the mouth,
And sighing it out.
We're ready to begin.

I liked the guidance about the breathwork, ie number of breaths, clarity around the length etc. I enjoyed it very much! Out of interest, is there a reason it’s 33 breaths?

This man literally saved my life. I would not be here today with Eric Schott. May Source protect him and bless him forever.
