Welcome to this guided breathwork session called Respiratory Reset.

My name is Eric Schott and I am esteemed to share this practice with you today.

Respiratory Reset is a hybrid technique presenting both relaxing and activating techniques within this modality.

Following this introduction I will personally explain and coach you through the benefits and each step of this exercise and then we will practice in real time.

As always I encourage you to leave any comments questions or suggestions as I love seeing and responding to your feedback.

With all that said let's clean slate with Respiratory Reset.

The breathwork modality we will be practicing today called Respiratory Reset brings about feelings of balance,

Centeredness and peace.

This technique is a great means of getting grounded,

Transitioning from a busy or stressful day and also put your physiology into a much more resourceful and relaxed state.

To begin we will be focused on foundational breathing with satisfying sighs on the exhale sounding like this.

Here we are inhaling through the nostrils focused on filling up the belly then the chest and finally up to the crown of the head.

Exhaling out with a sigh.

On the fifth breath in we will inhale fully filling up the torso as much as we can.

At the top we'll hold this breath and then take sips of air through the mouth stretching and maxing out our lung capacity.

Continue holding the breath.

After about 10 to 20 seconds we will gently let the air out through pursed lips like blowing through a straw slow and controlled.

To finish the round we will take a recovery breath at the end.

Go ahead and get settled into a seated or lying down position.

Due to the nature of this exercise it would be best to sit close to the ground in a safe and soft area.

I invite you to join me in respiratory resets.

Just follow along with my voice.

I'll guide you through the steps and each of our rounds.

Let's begin with our foundational breaths.
