All advice that we receive on the path towards enlightenment is just words of guidance. They won't and can't take us there - we have to walk the path ourselves. Hi Zachary, thanks for sharing these ideas on mediation and mindfulness.
So, if I understood correctly, at some stage of mindfulness you would just be and no longer mediate, yes?
But this would contradict the life long practice of meditation of most spiritual leaders, like the Dalai Lama, Mathieu Ricard and others.
Thus, either there is something else to meditation or the practice and the goal merge at some level of experience ...
Like Mathieu Ricard said: When I am sitting in my empty meditation room viewing the Himalaya and meditate - this is when I feel that I am living ...
