Christian Prayer For The In-Between Seasons

A Christian Prayer meditation for those who are waiting for God to move. Allow this practice to reignite your trust in God's timing and find peace in this moment. Verses mentioned: Hebrews 10:35-36, Jeremiah 29:11, 2 Peter 3:9, Proverbs 19:21, Isaiah 40:31, and Psalm 27:14.

Transcript

As we begin this meditation,

Just take a moment to pause,

Allowing yourself to get still and just notice.

What do you feel in this moment?

What do you feel in your body,

In your mind,

And in your breath?

As you notice the natural pattern of your breath here,

Just notice the rhythm.

Bring your awareness to the pause at the top of every inhale and the gentle pause at the bottom of every exhale.

Notice how natural and with ease that pause and space is just created here.

It's all a part of the natural rhythm of our breath,

The natural ebb and flow,

Which can also parallel our own lives sometimes.

As we just notice the pattern of our lives,

As we go through these highs and lows,

These moments where we linger at the top or linger at the bottom.

It can be scary.

It can be frustrating.

It can be so unpredictable.

But one thing that is not unpredictable is God's presence during it all.

He's always with us.

He's always there.

And today I just want to give you a little bit of encouragement for those in between spaces,

Those moments of waiting for God's will to be fulfilled,

For your greatest desires to come to reality.

Whatever you may be waiting on today,

Know that He is with you and you can trust His plan.

I just want to give you a few scriptures to marinate on today.

Hebrews 10,

35 and 36.

So do not throw away your confidence.

It will be richly rewarded.

You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God,

You will receive what He has promised.

Can you allow yourself to be in alignment with His word,

With His will today?

Can you open your heart to whatever His plan is for your life?

Jeremiah 29 and 11,

For I know the plans I have for you,

Declares the Lord.

Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.

Plans to give you hope and a future.

Second Peter 3 and 9 touches on,

The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise.

Can you allow yourself to trust and know that He would always keep His promise?

Proverbs 19,

21.

Many are the plans in a person's heart,

But it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Can you give up your will for His?

Isaiah 40,

31.

But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.

They shall mount up with wings like eagles.

They shall run and not be weary.

They shall walk and not faint.

Psalms 27 and 14.

Wait for the Lord.

Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

As we just allow the words of His mighty word to soak in,

Can you allow yourself to take the pressure off?

Can you allow yourself to let go of control or the need for control over your life?

And if it feels okay,

I invite you to place one hand on top of your heart and then place the other on top of it.

Just feeling your heartbeat here,

Feeling the life that is still within your body,

Which means you still have more to this life.

You still have more to live.

Your chapter is not complete here.

The in-between seasons can be challenging and difficult,

But can you trust Him in this moment?

And if it's okay,

I'll just say this prayer over you today.

Dear God,

First and foremost,

We thank you for today.

We thank you for this moment of stillness to draw near to you,

God.

We thank you for everything that you are currently doing in our lives and all of the blessings that you have sent our way.

But God,

We are in a season of waiting.

We are in the season of trusting.

Many of us don't know where to go,

Where to turn or what is coming next.

We're believing for things.

We have desires.

We have plans.

And sometimes when we look around,

It does not look how we expect it.

But God,

We're trying to be open.

We're opening our heart.

We're trusting you.

We're letting go of our own plans.

We're surrendering to your will,

God,

For our lives.

We know that your plan is greater.

We know that your timing is perfect and you will stay true to all of your promises,

God.

We know that.

We feel that.

Can you give us peace in this moment?

Can you touch those who are needing instant healing?

Can you touch those who are waiting for marriages to be saved?

Can you touch those who are waiting for a new job or waiting to conceive,

God?

Will you give them peace in this moment?

Can you touch those who have more questions than answers right now,

God?

Can you intervene in those situations that look like there's no way out?

That there's nowhere to go,

God?

Because we know when you come in,

When you step in,

You have the power to turn things that are so crazy around.

We know that you have the power.

You are the Almighty.

God,

We know that when we trust and surrender our wills to yours,

That you will turn things around.

That you will allow doors to be open.

That you will pour out blessings that are big enough that we could never even imagine that we do not have room enough to receive,

God.

That when next year's harvest come,

We will still be enjoying the benefits of this year's harvest,

God.

We are trusting you in this moment to move.

God,

We're letting go.

We're releasing control.

We don't want to do things our way because we know that your way is better.

God,

Just come into this moment.

Draw us near.

Help us to feel your presence.

Help us to feel your peace.

Help us to feel your grace,

God.

We are available.

We are open to be used by you.

And we know that whatever you're doing in this season,

Sometimes we don't understand.

Sometimes the waiting gets difficult.

Sometimes the waiting gets tiring,

But we know that you have the final say.

We know that you're still with us and you have not forgotten us.

And we will continue to trust you for all the days of our lives.

In Jesus' name I pray.
