You are what you think.
You are your beliefs.
Your thoughts and intentions form the basis for the words you speak,
Decisions you make,
And actions you take.
The patterns of thought that have developed in your mind affect the quality of your experiences shaping your reality.
Having a positive mind will enable you to communicate more effectively,
Be more creative,
And make better decisions.
All this stems from adopting the attitude of gratitude,
Which is the route to keeping a healthy,
Happy mind.
Having an attitude of gratitude means to live your life from the perspective of being grateful for everything that is.
Your state of mind and your attitude are more important to your overall holistic health than many people may think.
Gratitude reduces feelings of envy,
Makes our memories happier,
Lets us experience good feelings,
And helps us bounce back from stress.
Gratitude is strongly correlated with optimism.
Optimism in turn makes us happier,
Improves our health,
And has been shown to increase lifespan.
Gratitude also increases sleep quality,
Reduces the time required to fall asleep,
And increases sleep duration.
We are born as naturally happy and connected beings.
It is only as we grow that many of us lose sight of our own innate happiness and true connectedness to all things.
An attitude of gratitude naturally resides somewhere within us all,
And with a little effort anyone can retrain themselves to live in this beautiful mind space for most,
If not all,
Of their moments.
In this meditation,
You will go deep within your being and embody the attitude of gratitude.
Find a comfortable position for this meditation.
Open a comfortable straight back and gently close your eyes and mouth.
A wise man once said,
It is not happy people who are thankful,
It is thankful people who are happy.
Start by taking a deep breath in through the nose and out through the nose.
Breathing in through the nose.
Breathing out through the nose.
Continue to breathe in and out through your nose.
Allow your breath to anchor you in this present moment.
Enter your awareness in your breath.
Let's now bring your awareness to things in your life that you are thankful for.
Just give gratitude the chance to come up naturally.
And when it comes up,
Just let yourself sink into the feeling and surrender to it.
Notice how it feels in your body.
Notice how that energy feels.
What are the things that you are grateful for in your life?
Is it your family,
Your friends,
Your health,
Your freedom?
Start to express the emotions of gratitude,
Just allowing your body to say thank you.
Accept the feelings of appreciation with every cell in your body.
Accept the feelings of appreciation with every cell in your body.
Now,
Bringing your attention to your heart,
Ask yourself the question,
What is my heart grateful for?
Allow any sensations,
Feelings,
Images and thoughts come to you.
Continue this practice for the next few minutes.
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
From my heart,
What do I feel grateful for?
From within me,
What do I feel grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
What am I grateful for?
Gratitude is a gracious acknowledgement of all that sustains us.
Gratitude is a bow to our blessings,
Great and small.
Gratitude is an appreciation of the moments of good fortune that sustain our life every day.
In fact,
We have so much to be grateful for.
Gratitude is the confidence in life itself.
As gratitude grows,
It gives rise to joy.
We experience the courage to rejoice in our own good fortune and in the good fortune of others.
Joy is natural to an open heart.
Like gratitude,
Joy gladdens the heart.
We can be joyful for people we love,
For moments of goodness,
For our friends' successes,
For sunlight and trees,
For the stranger that gave us a smile,
And for the breath we breathe on this planet.
The more that we contemplate what we can be grateful for,
The more our heart opens up and we become more in tune with all that sustains us in this life.
Allow yourself to sit quietly and at ease.
Allow your body to be relaxed and open.
Your breath natural.
Your heart easy.
Now,
Embody my words and mentally repeat after me.
I offer my gratitude to all beings of the earth.
I offer my gratitude to the blessings of this earth.
I offer my gratitude for my health.
I offer my gratitude for my life.
I offer my gratitude for my family and friends.
I offer my gratitude for the teachings and lessons I have learned.
I offer my gratitude for the roof over my head.
I offer gratitude for the clothes on my back.
I offer gratitude for every meal.
I offer my gratitude for every breath I have taken.
I offer my gratitude for all my experiences.
Continue to breathe gently.
And as you do,
Start to bring to mind someone you care about.
Someone you find easy to rejoice for.
Enter them and feel the natural joy you have for their well-being,
For their happiness and success.
With each breath,
Offer them your grateful,
Heartfelt wishes.
May you be joyful.
May your happiness increase.
May you not be separated from great happiness.
May your good fortune and the causes for your joy and happiness increase.
May your good fortune and the causes for your joy and happiness increase.
Now drift your awareness to the love you have in your life and your connection to those things that are sweet and loving and honorable.
Just feel right.
When we no longer take life for granted,
We become grateful for everything that we have.
For the rest of this practice,
Nourish your soul in gratitude and just let go to the higher power that dwells inside your being.
Thank you.
You You You And coming back to your body and any sensations that may be arising Gently open your eyes and feel free to start moving your body coming out of this space And allow yourself to be here,
To be now And To practice this attitude of gratitude during moments of your everyday life Namaste You
