Find a comfortable position,

Seated or laying down.

Take a deep cleansing breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Begin to breathe gently into the heart space.

And as you do so,

The muscles of your body begin to gently melt,

Soften,

And release.

You watch the breath as it flows in and as it flows out.

This witnessing of the breath,

Just as it is,

Has a great effect in relaxing you.

And as your heart expands and releases,

Suddenly all thoughts seem to drift away.

Your shoulders relax,

The muscles of your face relax,

And your breathing becomes a little slower and a little deeper.

Now gently bring your mind's eye to a path in the forest.

A clear path is etched in front of you and is lined with beautiful tall trees.

Take a deep breath and smell the air.

Feel that with each breath,

The electric current of the forest seeps into the cells of your body.

What season is it?

What does it smell like to you?

Each breath you take energizes and uplifts every cell of your body.

You begin to walk along the path.

The air feels so good against your skin.

A gentle breeze rustles the trees in front of you,

And sunlight dapples through the leaves.

When birdsong fills the air,

You feel it ripple through your entire body,

Bringing you to a state of pure happiness,

Pure joy.

As you walk,

You find in a clearing a small pond.

The water is so still,

So clear,

Completely undisturbed.

You begin to realize that this water is a metaphor for your mind right now.

Completely clear,

Completely at ease,

And totally free.

Free of doubt,

Free of judgment,

Free of confusion.

It just is.

The understanding washes over you.

The understanding that this is not just your imagination,

But that this is a real place that you can tap into.

Whenever you're looking for a sense of connection to your higher self,

A connection to the universe,

And a connection to every being.

And as you sink deeper into this knowing,

This peace,

You say to yourself,

All is well.

And so it is.
