Here is a meditation to help you reconnect and increase your own self-trust.
That is the trust you have within yourself.
So closing your eyes and allowing your body to relax.
Begin by taking in three deep relaxing breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And as you exhale imagining any stress or tension leaving your body.
And as you continue to breathe in and out feeling calm and relaxation showering your head.
Allowing any tightness from your head and your neck to disappear.
Now releasing any tension from your shoulders and your arms.
As you allow your hands and fingers to relax.
As you continue to breathe in and out allowing the sense of calm to travel down your spine.
Embracing your back,
Your stomach and your hips as they all relax.
Then allowing this release to remove any tightness from your thighs and your calves.
As your feet and toes relax.
You are now embraced in ultimate peace and feeling as light as a feather.
So now placing your attention on your heart.
Imagine you are breathing into your heart and breathing out of your heart.
Allowing your heart to fill with this new fresh breath.
And as you continue to breathe into your heart and out of your heart.
You allow your body to relax even further.
And now allowing your breath to return to a comfortable pace for you.
Let's take your awareness to a memory where everything worked out.
A time in your past where something happened and you knew exactly what to do.
You listened to yourself,
You trusted yourself and you followed through on whatever it is that you needed to do.
It doesn't matter what memory comes up.
Just allow this memory to come up without any judgement.
And now that you have this memory in your awareness.
Notice how your body feels.
This was a time when you trusted yourself.
At the time,
Did you even give yourself space to acknowledge that you trusted yourself?
If you didn't,
Give yourself the space now.
And as you give yourself this space,
Notice what emotions are attached to this memory of when you trusted yourself.
There may be emotions of happiness,
Of empowerment,
Of strength,
Of confidence.
Whatever emotions come up,
Allow them to flood your body.
Allow these beautiful emotions to really sink in to every part of your body right down to yourselves.
Really experience these emotions.
And allowing those emotions to remain,
Turn your attention to a time when you didn't trust yourself.
When you heard your inner voice tell you one thing,
But you went against that.
For whatever reason you didn't trust yourself.
And again,
You were not judging yourself here.
You were just noticing how it feels in your body.
Noticing what emotions come up.
There may be anger towards yourself.
There may be annoyance.
There may be frustration.
Or there may be other emotions.
No judgement,
Just awareness.
And now what I would like you to do is send that memory,
That situation,
Some love.
You did the best you could at that time.
You were not judging yourself or beating yourself up.
You were not thinking of what you should or shouldn't have done.
You are just sending yourself and that situation some love.
While you're thinking about this past situation,
What I'd like you to do is overlay it with the memory of the emotions of when you did trust yourself.
Allowing all those positive emotions to flood back into your awareness.
So that we are switching back to the memory of when you did trust yourself.
Allowing those emotions of happiness,
Empowerment,
Strength and confidence.
To come back into your awareness.
Breathing that into your entire body.
Right down to the cellular memory.
Allow these emotions and this memory to integrate into all parts of your body.
These feelings of trust,
Self-trust,
Where you trusted yourself.
Allow that to become your new normal.
And now placing your hands on your heart,
One hand over the other.
Wanting to connect with these beautiful feelings of empowerment,
Of self-trust.
Breathe these feelings into your heart.
And then bringing these emotions of self-trust and empowerment down through your body to the base of your feet.
To the soles of your feet.
Anchoring them in your body.
Your entire body.
And spending a few moments just experiencing how this feels.
To have self-trust radiating throughout your entire body.
And then when you're ready,
Bringing your awareness back into the room where you're sitting and back into your body.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes and gently opening your eyes when you feel ready.
