Take a moment to get comfortable.
Let your body be supported by whatever you're sitting or lying on.
Right now there's nowhere you need to go,
Nothing you need to figure out,
And nothing you need to fix right now.
Just allow your breath to soften.
Inhale gently through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth.
Again,
Breathing in calmly through your nose,
And breathe out any tension you just don't need to carry.
Somewhere along the way,
Many of us have learned to stop listening to ourselves.
We learn to look outside of ourselves for answers,
Or to prioritize other people's expectations of us,
And make choices based on what felt accepted,
Safe,
Or approved.
And little by little,
We became passengers in our own lives.
Not because we've done anything wrong,
But because we were trying to belong,
To be loved,
To be okay.
But your voice,
Your thoughts,
Your feelings,
And your intuition have always mattered.
Even when they were quiet,
Or when they were ignored.
Even when you doubted them,
They never disappeared.
Take a moment now,
And gently bring your awareness inward.
Not to force an answer,
Not to analyze anything,
Just to notice.
What does your inner voice feel like right now?
Is it soft?
Hesitant?
Curious?
Tired?
Hopeful?
There is nothing wrong with you for wanting more.
There is nothing selfish about listening to yourself.
And there is nothing dangerous about living authentically,
Even if it feels unfamiliar.
When you begin to listen to yourself,
You don't have to make a bunch of big changes all at once.
You simply start by not silencing yourself anymore.
By letting your feelings exist,
Your desires be felt,
And your truth to take up space.
As you continue to listen to your own voice,
You may notice things shift.
Some people,
They might fall away.
Some paths no longer fit.
And that can feel tender,
But it can also feel incredibly freeing.
Because when you live from your own truth,
There is less ache,
Less self-abandonment,
And more peace inside your body.
You begin to feel safer being yourself.
More confident,
More proud,
More at ease.
Take one more deep,
Slow breath in,
And a full exhale out.
Silently,
Or gently,
Out loud,
Say to yourself,
My voice is valuable.
I am allowed to listen.
I am the author of my own life.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes and gently return to your day.
Carry this knowing with you.
Take a moment to notice how you feel now,
Even if the shift is subtle.
You can return to this practice any time you feel yourself shrinking,
Not expressing yourself,
Not truly listening to yourself,
Or trusting yourself.
Whenever your body needs reassurance,
That you've always been worthy,
And your voice is valuable,
Each time you come back,
You strengthen your own ability to feel safe,
Supported,
And present in your own life.
Thank you for taking this time.
You're always welcome here.
