Allow yourself to get comfortable,
Resting in any position where you feel fully supported.
You might take a moment to move or stretch,
Just letting yourself get the wiggles out.
And as you move towards stillness,
Starting to notice the sensation of the surface supporting you.
Noticing the sounds in the room,
The temperature of the air,
And begin to notice your breath.
Noticing how your body moves as you breathe in,
And how your body moves as you breathe out.
If your breath feels restricted,
We'll do a few rounds of the physiological side together.
When you're ready,
Take a deep breath in through your nose,
A small second inhale on top,
And exhale slowly and completely through your mouth.
And again,
A deep breath in through your nose,
A small second inhale on top,
And a long slow exhale through your mouth.
And again,
A deep breath in through your nose,
A small second inhale on top,
And a long slow exhale through your mouth.
And again,
A deep breath in through your nose,
A small second inhale on top,
And a long slow exhale through your mouth.
Just allowing yourself to rest here,
Receiving the wave of your breath however it shows up.
Start to notice how your breath forms a bridge between your outer world and your inner world.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to draw more and more closely to your inner world.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to drop down deeper and deeper relaxed,
Allowing your body to grow heavy,
Completely supported by the surface beneath you.
If you'd like,
You can invite in the presence of a safe person or a loving guide,
Anything you need in this moment to feel safe,
Supported,
And held.
As you settle into this sense of support,
Feeling completely relaxed,
Begin to sense or imagine a client standing before you.
Someone with whom you have a professional relationship.
Someone who may have come to you for help.
Gently bring awareness to the space between you and this client.
Notice the distance between your bodies.
Notice any sensations in your own body as you do this.
Perhaps you become aware of tension or tightness or bracing.
Simply notice.
There is no need to fix or change.
Just allowing what is as you continue to feel the support beneath you.
Now see if you can envision your client as a young child.
A child asking for help.
Notice if the sensations in your body change as you see this version of your client.
Allowing yourself to notice how your body responds.
Now gently allow that image to fade.
Returning to the version of your client as they are now.
Their current self.
Now invite in your client's higher self.
Their inner wisdom,
Their guide,
Their spiritual support.
You might not see it clearly but simply sense that it is present.
Notice how your client,
Just like you,
Has support available to them.
Feel the presence of this higher self with them.
Just as you have yours.
You might speak to their higher self.
Sharing any concerns or frustrations that you have.
And just noticing how the higher self responds.
Sensing the steadiness and compassion it holds.
Remembering that even if your client isn't consciously aware of this higher self,
It is always there.
Now ask the higher self to gently receive your client into their care.
Into their energy.
Into their compassionate support.
And as that happens,
Noticing any sensations in your body,
Any energetic cords between you and your client,
Starting to dissolve.
If the sensations in your body have felt strong,
You might ask your safe person or guide to further support the cleansing of these ties.
Maybe using fire or water or knives to more completely sever the connection.
Allowing your client's energy to return to them.
Now taking a moment to call back your own energy.
With each breath,
Retrieving energy you may have given away through being overly responsible,
Overly identified,
Overly dependent on this person's outcomes or behaviors or beliefs.
Rest here.
Feeling the space return to your body.
Feeling your breath washing over you like waves on the shore.
Know that your client is on their own journey.
It is not your responsibility to carry them or fix them or change them.
Your only role is to share your wisdom and your light.
And to release them as a sovereign being,
Free to walk their own path.
If there are any final thoughts or feelings you wish to express,
Letting them arise now.
And when you feel complete,
Gently release the felt sense or image of your client.
Start to bring your awareness back to your own body.
Noticing the boundary of your physical form.
Noticing where your body ends and space begins.
Feeling into the shape of your body in space.
And begin to deepen your breath.
And like a cat waking from a nap,
Allow yourself to gently move and stretch,
Coming fully back into your body.
And when you're ready,
Opening your eyes,
Returning to this moment,
Clear,
Grounded,
And whole.
