This is a meditation practice to connect with our most wise and loving inner intelligence.
Some call it an awakening.
Many agree its importance is in uplifting this beautiful planet and its people.
It is a dynamic energy that presents itself uniquely to the inner awareness of each meditator.
At the present time this seems a rare and special thing,
An illuminating energy that reveals each of us share something special beyond the common ideas of mind and body.
To prepare for the light and sound is to be open and undefended during meditation.
To simply observe and allow things to unfold is the will.
In this way we are given more of what we are,
What has always been,
And may connect us with our true inner being.
So when the time arrives and we've agreed to receive access to the light and sound during a two day meditation,
We can be more available to this inner wonder and the things it will reveal to us about our nature,
And find a mystery where all change takes place inside,
Because it does not judge,
But accepts and supports all things.
And it is beyond the conceptions or the ideas of our minds,
And yet it is very real and can be known by each one of us,
And in this way we become something even more special.
We are the new frontier,
The way we choose to think and feel and meditate,
And the way we harmonize our inner reality with our outer life,
Learning to live our lives with more unconditional love,
And it's not always easy,
And it takes daily practice,
With daily reminders,
And that loving effort,
And it takes having a respect for our own spirituality,
And recognizing our growing inner authority.
Along with this,
We can practice the giving up of unnecessary judgment of ourselves and others,
Filling our lives with more gratitude,
Preparing our days with humility and purpose,
So we can learn to give more,
To give in ways that fit our purpose.
Sit silently with yourself,
Feel the naturalness of this,
Be aware of distraction,
And return to your sense of being,
That feeling.
Recognize the breadth and depth of this,
Recognize the stillness,
The lack of movement.
Allow any other phenomena to just come and go.
Allow your attitude to be natural,
Welcoming of all,
And sometimes you just have to be with yourself wholeheartedly to resolve an issue.
Give yourself the love and attention you deserve.
Offer yourself the forgiveness you need.
Acknowledge that you can positively influence your feelings and thoughts while accepting the mantle of your own authority.
In a world of constant movement,
Endless change,
And striving for improvement,
The biggest challenge is to be in our stillness.
In a way,
This is like true love.
It does not judge,
But accepts and supports all things.
However,
We can judge,
As is appropriate to our life,
But to do so through love more often than rejection.
And this requires us to practice,
So in life we can be alert to the signals that guide us to recognize our inner stillness,
And be willing to surrender our attachment to the busyness.
Just for moments during our day,
And so then we are learning to live more from our true space.
We can use the busyness of this life,
And our thoughts,
To remind us to practice.
So what is this weight we carry in our minds that becomes a burden on our bodies,
And upon the world around us?
What is this speed that creates a distance between me and you?
What is this light that shows more than my thought and colors my knowledge of our truth?
What is this sound that removes the barriers of distraction and discord,
And presents us with awareness of boundless peace?
It is the inner light,
And the inner sound,
That carry no weight,
And are of immeasurable speed that reveal our knowledge of self and selflessness.
It is our willingness to sit within,
And be content to observe and surrender our expectations that allows this inner light and sound to work and transform our awareness to all that is.
And what do you want from your meditation?
Is it to feel calm and relaxed?
To unwind and quieten after a busy day?
To lighten the load of stress and anxiety?
To connect with humanity,
Nature,
The universe?
Or is it to know the comfort of deep inner stillness?
A wholeness,
A source of peace which transcends the noise of thinking and life's busyness?
Is it to feel a deep tranquility that reveals a profound acceptance and support of who we are,
Because it is what we are?
During meditation we can sit quietly and openly with ourselves,
And trust to the inner silence.
That is the support for all our activity.
That is the beginning.
That is the way to be with our truth.
To discover beyond the truths of mind and body,
We need to be willing to receive an inner guide that exists in the non-physical and is the metaphorical pathway to the source.
This inner guide is seen and heard,
And felt as the inner light and sound.
Not the lights or sounds of the uncommon,
Deeper body and mind,
But an energy that at first presents itself into our awareness.
To later take that awareness into such fast spaces and places of being,
We clearly realize everything physical has been transcended.
At the same time,
We recognize that our humanity is more unique and sacred than we've previously been shown,
Because we can only be truly complete when our humanity and spirituality are fully realized and embraced.
In praise there is no place for reward.
In gratitude there is no desire for more.
In love there is space for all.
In compassion there is no doubt.
In truth there is no argument.
The light and sound is intimate and present.
Inside each of us is everything.
