A self-compassion practice has been shown to improve body confidence and reduce body shame. Use this meditation for 21 days and notice an improvement in your body image. This guided meditation can be listened to while seated, lying down or walking.

Transcript

Music Take a comfortable seat with your feet flat on the floor.

Or you can lie down and listen to this meditation as you're falling asleep.

Or you can even listen while you go for a walk.

Bring a hand to rest on your heart,

Connecting to yourself and take a big deep breath in through the nose.

And let it out with a sigh.

And again a big inhale through the nose.

And as you exhale let yourself relax completely.

And once more a big inhale through the nose.

And letting it out with a sigh.

So during this meditation,

Take the time to repeat the affirmations after I've spoken them.

Notice how they make you feel.

So repeating after me.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be safe.

May I forgive myself easily when I need to.

And may I love myself always.

May I be happy.

May I be healthy.

May I be safe.

May I forgive myself easily if I need to.

And may I love myself always.

I am happy.

I am healthy.

I am safe.

I forgive myself easily when I need to.

And I love myself always.

So just letting those words settle into your heart.

Take a moment to notice your breath.

And you can choose to listen to the rest of the music.

Gently opening your eyes.

I really like that you flip the "May I..." statements to "I am... " statements because I often do that when I do loving kindness meditations because it feels more empowering to me. Very nice!
