Settle in to recharge and relax.

I'll leave you in charge of your physical comfort.

Whether you choose to sit or lay down,

Please make yourself comfortable.

Meditation does not have to be this one tone of attention where we're always trying to calm ourselves down.

That's a valuable practice.

But sometimes we want to feel energized,

Refreshed.

And we might also want to feel calm or steady.

So this practice uses a mantra and awareness on your breathing to help remember the feeling of vitality and the feeling of relaxation.

And to feel that you can carry on it in your day feeling both recharged and relaxed.

Just tune in to what feels most enjoyable about your breathing to begin.

Adjusting your body in any way so that you can be even 5% more comfortable.

And feel the call for rest and recharging.

Your body is asking for this time of rest and you have heard that call and you are giving in to it now.

So even as your mind-body system will want to get to clearing any backlog in your mental workspace,

Just as you might notice and tend to whatever is in your heart today and whatever is in your environment today,

Let the attention land lightly with our breathing.

So not to the exclusion of all other thoughts and feelings and sensations,

But a gentle touch of your awareness on your breathing.

And inhaling and exhaling in any way that's comfortable.

As you let your attention settle a little more with your inhales,

Remember the feeling of being recharged,

Feeling full of energy and vitality.

And as you inhale,

You can hear or whisper the word recharging.

Just be with your exhale for a moment.

Settle into the rhythm with your inhale first,

Remembering the feeling of being full of energy and vitality.

Inhaling,

Recharging,

As though you could recharge the batteries of your being with each inhalation.

Feeling your tank,

Inhaling,

Recharging,

And then adding in as you exhale,

Relaxing,

Inhaling,

Recharging,

Exhaling,

Relaxing.

And remember the feeling of deep rest,

The feeling deeply relaxed for your bones and your muscles.

Remember relaxation and give into it with each exhalation.

Inhaling,

Recharging,

As your breath fills from your lower belly all the way up.

You might visualize that symbol of a battery being recharged.

And then exhaling,

Relaxing,

Softening your skin,

Your bones,

Your eyes,

Your face.

Just continuing at your own pace,

Hearing or whispering the words,

Inhaling,

Recharging,

Exhaling,

Relaxing.

And it's not just about saying or hearing the words,

It's about remembering the feeling of vitality and energy and remembering the feeling of relaxation.

And allowing your body to recalibrate so that you can feel both energized and steady throughout your day.

If it feels right,

You might like to add some kind of movement with your arms and your hands,

Perhaps your hands drawing up from your hips and your lower belly as you inhale.

All the way up to the crown of your head and then as you exhale,

Palms down towards the floor,

Exhaling,

Relaxing,

As you float your hands and your arms back down towards your hips.

Or maybe your arms can be out wide,

Reaching them up overhead,

Inhaling,

Recharging.

And exhaling,

Relaxing,

Floating your arms back down.

Only add the movement if that feels particularly delicious in your body.

Just finding your own rhythm with it.

Remember the focus on your breath is light and not to the exclusion of any other thoughts and feelings and sensations that might be coming through to you.

Your body trying to communicate to you about what's important to you in your life,

About how you're doing,

What needs more attention.

A light touch of attention on your breathing as you remember the feeling of vitality and as you remember the feeling of relaxation.

Inhaling,

Recharging.

And exhaling,

Relaxing.

Remember the feeling of deep relaxation and rest.

Your bones and your muscles know this state of being.

Inhaling,

Recharging.

Recharging the batteries of your being,

Your bones and your muscles and your cells know the state of energy and vitality as well.

Trust that.

Continuing here as long as you wish.

Continuing to recharge and relax.

Delight in your breathing.

Gather yourself in.

And when you feel ready,

Continue on into your day.
