Let's use the power of touch to bring hands-on healing to our bodies today.

My name is Emily.

I'm a massage therapist and I'm so happy you're here with me.

We'll begin with a breathing ball exercise.

Bring your palms to touch and begin to rub your hands together building heat and energy.

Now separate your hands just slightly as if you're holding a ball.

Feel the magnetism between your palms.

This is your breathing ball.

So as you breathe in,

Your breathing ball expands as you pull your palms apart.

And as you exhale out,

Your breathing ball condenses as you bring your hands together,

Fingertips touch.

Do this again,

Breathing in,

Breathing ball expands as you pull your palms away from each other.

Exhale out,

Breathing ball condenses.

Repeat this again and as you do,

Imagine the way the ball mimics the movement within your body.

Your rib cage,

Lungs and air sacs within the lungs all expanding and condensing as you breathe.

One more cycle,

Breathing in,

Breathing ball expands.

Exhale out,

Breathing ball condenses.

Good.

Now bring one open palm to your chest and one open palm to your belly.

Breathe here and feel the subtle movement of your body.

Drop into the feeling of being held by your own hands.

Perhaps extend a message of support to your body through your touch.

You are safe.

You are cared for.

You are here.

Now bring one palm to the back of the head so that your hand is supporting the weight of the head.

Bring the other palm to rest on the forehead.

Feel your skull between your hands and let the weight of the head release into the safety and support of the back palm.

Allow the neck muscles to let go of their tension,

Cradling your physical body,

Allowing your mental state to rest.

Let the mental chaos slowly clear as your head falls into the support of the palms.

You are safe.

You are cared for.

You are here.

Now bring your palms onto your face as you cover your eyes with your open palms.

You can close your eyes and drop into that feeling of the light touch on your face.

Now using just the finger pads of both hands on your forehead,

We'll do a little self-massage as you make circles with your finger pads across your forehead towards your temples.

Now circling at the temples slowly,

Rhythmically,

Relaxing into this feeling.

Now drop your fingers down towards the jaw and continue this circle over the jaw muscles.

Now just hold your fingers here with no movement,

Barely any pressure over the jaw.

Breathe in and as you exhale,

Gently press into the jaw muscles and gently release that pressure.

Do this again,

Gently sinking into the layers of the jaw muscles and gently releasing the pressure.

Feel your body tension melt as you bring ease to your jaw.

Breathe into this.

As if your fingers are made of candle wax,

Slowly drip them down your chin and down your neck,

Past your clavicles,

Past your chest,

Slowly gliding down the length of the belly towards the hip crease.

Now use full open palms to slowly glide your hands down the thighs,

Past the knees and if it's comfortable,

All the way down the lower legs to the ankles.

When you're ready,

Slowly unfurl your spine back to a sitting position.

Bring your palms to touch in a prayer position in front of your chest.

Breathe in and exhale.

You are safe.

You are cared for.

You are here.

Thank you for joining me.

Please remember that the healing power of touch is right at your fingertips.
