Welcome to your chakra balancing meditation.

In this meditation you will tune into your energy body and the seven major chakras.

Find a comfortable seat where you can sit nice and tall without expending too much effort.

Feel your physical body in your space.

Notice your body making contact with whatever you're sitting on.

Allow the forehead to soften.

Let the jaw soften and relax.

Let the shoulders melt away from the ears.

Allow the spine to be long.

Deep into your breath and take deep breaths in and out of the nose.

As you inhale,

Invite the breath to deepen as the belly expands.

As you exhale,

Fully empty the lungs,

Let the belly soften.

When you're consciously breathing,

You are practicing pranayama.

You are tuning into prana,

Your life force energy.

Continue breathing deeply and imagine many different highways of prana,

Of life force energy flowing through every part of your body.

These highways or channels are called nadis and where every nadi crosses is a chakra,

A whirling vortex of energy.

Bring your awareness to the spine and visualize a powerful and clear central highway or central channel that runs from your tailbone up the spine through the crown of the head.

This is shashuna nadi.

As you inhale,

Imagine clear light going from the tailbone up the spine through the crown of the head and as you exhale,

Imagine this light traveling from the crown of the head to the tailbone.

Traveling up and down.

Shashumna nadi.

Traveling around shashumna nadi or idha nadi and pingala nadi representing the moon and the sun,

Feminine and masculine.

They cross at seven major points and where they intersect creates a major chakra.

Let's explore these chakras.

Bring your awareness to the base of the spine.

Continue to breathe deeply.

Imagine a red ball of light swirling at the base of the spine.

Continue breathing deeply into this red ball of light.
