Welcome.

This practice is designed to help you connect deeply to your own body and energy,

And to the moon.

Connection is essential to feeling fulfilled and joyful.

Connection to yourself,

Others,

Ancestry,

Community,

Everything.

Connection is also where we feel most at ease,

Able to relax and to rest.

I recommend lying down completely on your back,

Or if you are seated,

Be in a supported position so that your belly is completely relaxed.

First we'll connect to the sacral chakra located in the low belly.

Then we'll do a breath and voice practice to clear away energy.

Finally then we'll move into the breath and lunar visualization practice.

Beginning by placing your hands on your low belly,

Tuning into this powerful energetic center.

Feel your breath and see if you can allow your breath to flow into this space.

If that doesn't feel available to you,

That's completely fine.

Continuing to feel the energy in your low belly.

The sacral chakra is associated with creativity and passion,

And is often considered the energetic center of the body.

Tuning into the energy in this space can offer deep connection and also the potential for transformation.

You can continue with your hands here on your low belly,

Or if there is energy building in another part of your body and you would like to place your hands there,

That can be a great way to support yourself.

Sometimes I have one hand on my low belly and the other on my chest.

Tuning into whatever your body needs to feel supported.

Now beginning to breathe in through the nose and out through pursed lips as though you're blowing out through a straw.

Breathing in through the nose,

Out through pursed lips.

Allow the exhales to be long.

This is a great breath for clearing any trapped air and for slowing down the system.

Again,

Breathing in through the nose,

Out through pursed lips.

Feeling your weight sink into the earth,

Feeling that connection and support which is always there if we are reaching for it,

If we are looking for it.

We can feel that connection to the earth.

Continuing to settle into your own energy.

And now we will bring in the voice,

A powerful way to help clear excess energy and to connect more deeply to yourself again.

Start by exploring the sound,

Ha,

On the exhale.

This can be short and forceful,

It can be long and soft.

Notice what feels right for you.

Continuing to explore the sound,

Ha.

Continuing to explore the sound,

Ha.

And now continuing with any sounds that feel good for you to release.

This might be something gentle like a hum,

It might even be a yell.

It might be something like a lip trill,

A rolling your tongue.

Allowing this practice to be your own,

Intuitively feeling what is it that your body needs right now to release.

To make space for fresh energy.

To allow this energy to flow into the earth,

Ready to receive and transform.

Feel this sense of connection and support.

At any point if you need to move your body,

Feel free.

Perhaps shaking things out.

We'll take a few more moments here for clearing energy.

And now we'll move into the lunar breath visualization.

Your hands can be wherever supports you.

Perhaps for this one you might want to start with them on your low belly.

And you can breathe in through the nose and out through pursed lips if that feels supportive.

Or if you are ready to switch to a diaphragm breath,

You'll just be breathing in and out through the nose.

Try to allow your breath to flow deep into your low belly,

Deep into the sacral chakra.

Really gathering your awareness here in this space.

Giving yourself,

Giving your own body all of your attention.

Feeling the energy in this space.

And as you continue to tune into this energy,

Imagine it gathering into an orb,

A ball.

The moon,

Deep in your low belly.

Notice what color this energy is today.

It can be anything you choose.

Feeling the moon deep in your low belly.

Feeling the inhale and the exhale.

And now we'll bring another layer into the visualization.

By imagining the phases of the moon with the breath.

If you are in the northern hemisphere,

The crescent moon,

The beginning of the moon's phase,

Will be cradled in,

If you make a C with your right hand,

That's where the moon will start.

And then it will continue into the full moon and then come back and be cradled in your left hand.

If you're in the southern hemisphere,

It will be the opposite.

So it will begin by being a crescent that could cradle in your left hand,

Expanding into the full moon,

And then waning again into your right hand.

So on the next inhale,

Begin by imagining a crescent moon.

And this moon grows with the inhale.

At the full moon,

At the top of the breath,

Pause for a moment.

And then the moon wanes and decreases into the crescent moon again.

Until at the bottom of the breath,

We have the new moon.

Again,

Breathing with the growing moon.

And exhaling with the waning moon.

Continuing with this flow,

Continuing with the growing moon and the waning moon.

Feeling your belly,

Feeling your low belly expand with the moon.

And release with the exhale.

Continuing with this breath for as long as supports you.

Thank you for joining me.
