Breathe in and out.
Welcome the new day.
Gently move into a position where your spine is straight.
Honor this moment,
For all moments have their beauty.
Breathe in and out again a few times and between the inhale and exhale of each breath,
Notice the small pauses of stillness.
Notice the sensations and perceptions of your body,
The feelings,
The sounds,
Your breath.
Be here now.
Feel gratitude for yourself,
For spending the time to work on you,
The quality of your life,
Your health and well-being.
Gently begin to shift your focus to your inner body.
Breathe into your feet and on the exhale,
Think of them releasing tension.
Now move your focus from your feet to your lower legs.
Feel the energy or warmth in your knees and your upper legs.
On each exhale,
Release any tension.
Now feel the aliveness in your pelvic region,
Including your behind.
Moving to your belly and lower back.
Feel the warmth and aliveness in your chest and upper back.
Notice your hands and forearms,
Your elbow and upper arms,
Your shoulders and clavicle area into your neck.
Now feel the aliveness of the different parts of your face and scalp and head.
Smile from the heart.
Feel the warm glow in your heart.
Feel this inward smile all over filling you up.
Breathe gently and again accept this moment.
Life is but a string of moments and the only one you will ever have is the one you are in.
Each moment you accept culminates in its effect on you and the quality of your life.
Breathe and feel gratitude for choosing to begin your day by accepting this moment.
Shift your focus to your belly.
Feel gratitude throughout your whole belly.
Breathe into different parts of it and as you exhale,
Imagine releasing any tension or stress that that part may be holding.
You can think of the different organs and thank them specifically or feel gratitude towards different regions that you tune into in your mind.
As you focus on each one,
Really try to feel a sense of gratitude.
Notice again the warm glow in your heart.
Smile from the heart and let joy pervade your being.
Use the joy to gently roll over to one side and as you continue to breathe,
Push up with your arms letting your head hang heavy until you are sitting up.
Gently raise your head and make movements and gentle stretches that your body wants you to make.
Thank your body for the reparations that underwent last night,
For taking care of you,
And if you feel achy and pain,
Thank it for letting you know which parts need healing and attention.
Thank any areas of your body that you feel discomfort or that you feel anxious about.
Breathe into those spaces and forgive them,
Since they are communicating with you in ways that will help you in life to continue to choose vibrancy,
To choose love,
Joy,
And peace.
Forgive yourself for anything you may have done to cause,
Add to,
Or ignore that stress in your body.
Forgiveness is the first step to healing and letting go,
To truly transforming your life and way of being.
Breathe.
If you have not already done so,
Gently rise and as you do,
Raise your arms with your hands stretched out wide like the letter Y,
Lifting your face to the sky and smile any way you like,
Outwardly,
Inwardly.
To transition into your day,
Gently think about what you will do now or later today and imagine yourself accepting those moments as they are.
Whether you accept them in the future or not,
Your visualization is helping your brain make associations that can be reinforced.
The relaxation and fostering of positive feeling that you experience this morning will literally release happy chemicals into your body that affect your body now.
The repetition of this exercise and others will both affect your body on the days you do them as well as the future since they will be fostering new pathways in your brain and habits of being.
Thank yourself for the positive effect your body is already enjoying.
