Come to a comfortable seat.

You can sit back on your heels in Virasana or with your legs crossed in front of you for Sukhasana.

Bring your palms face down on your lap.

Close down your eyes.

Start to move your upper half side to side,

Front to back.

Get your head and neck involved in your movements.

Just use this time to connect with your physical body to invite in movement so your mind can find stillness.

Start to settle back through center.

Stack your shoulders back over your hips and reach up through the crown of your head.

Start to think of your favorite day.

What is the temperature of the air?

Is the sun shining bright or do you feel a light breeze?

Is it a day in the middle of the winter with snowflakes falling around you?

Is it a day in the fall where the leaves are changing colors and there's a crispness to the air?

Maybe it's a day on the beach hearing the waves roll in.

Just pick a few details of this day and breathe into it.

Notice the colors that surround you,

The people,

The plants that surround you.

We'll be using this idea to create a list of favorites today.

Your list of favorites will allow you to boost your gratitude,

Your happiness.

As you sit here think of your favorite plant.

Maybe this is a plant that lives in your home or a wild plant that you see while on a hike.

See this plant move in the wind.

See the colors of the plant glisten in the sunlight.

Now imagine your favorite place.

Maybe this is a room in your home or a trail that you love to hike.

Maybe this is at the top of mountains or walking into water.

Take in your surroundings as you enter this place and find peace.

Imagine someone that brings a smile to your face.

What is this person doing to make you laugh,

To make you find ease in your busy day?

Imagine this person's face smiling right back at you.

Next imagine your favorite animal.

This could be a wild animal or a pet.

What do you like about this animal?

Imagine this animal in its environment.

Picture the colors,

The whiskers,

The feathers.

Finally imagine yourself.

You can be in your favorite place.

You can be surrounded by your favorite plant or your favorite animal.

Maybe you're taking a walk with your favorite person.

But bring your focus to yourself.

What is your favorite thing about you?

Something about your personality,

The way you show up in the world,

The way you love and support those around you.

As you breathe here,

Feel your heart get bigger.

We will sit in silence for the next few moments.

You can continue to grow your list of favorites,

Maybe things outside of yourself or maybe things that you love about you.

Start to deepen your breath.

Bring your awareness back to the sounds that surround you.

Feel the temperature of the air in the room on your skin.

Take in the smells.

Bring your hands to your heart.

Anjali mudra.

We will close our meditation with one final breath.

Inhale through your nose.

Exhale,

Let it go.

Bring your thumbs to your third eye,

Your place of intuition at the center of your forehead.

I bow to you with love and gratitude.

Namaste.

Thank you so much Elyse :)) This was so beautiful, and I think it’s very important to create a gratitude list every day, and that way we can be grateful for the small and simple things we usually take for granted. Sending gratitude and positivity! Take care and stay safe!
