What if every person you encounter accepted you unconditionally? Nurture yourself with self-acceptance, self-kindness, and self-compassion meditation. The practice includes a breath-focus meditation and contemplation for inner calm. I hope you enjoy listening to this practice as much as I enjoyed sharing it.

With your eyes closed,

Ask yourself,

What would it be like to sit with acceptance and kindness and non-judgment to yourself?

Allow yourself to find that mindset of being unconditionally accepting of who you are and what you're going through and kind and warm and non-judgmental.

And now tune into your breath.

Begin to feel the breath in your nose,

In your mouth,

In your throat,

In your chest,

Feeling and accepting the breath just as it is and accepting the mind when the mind wanders and returning to the breath,

Staying with this feeling of breathing.

Begin now,

Returning every time the mind wanders.

And now put a hand on your heart.

Welcome that hand on the heart.

Feel that beating of the heart and imagine just for a moment a life in which you are totally and completely accepted by others.

All others accept you unconditionally.

Just imagine that and let yourself exhale.

Your parents,

Your community,

Your co-workers,

Your friends,

All the people in your life,

Your siblings,

Everyone accepts you unconditionally.

Imagine the release,

The strength that comes from that.

Every person you ever encounter accepting you unconditionally and every person you have encountered accepting you unconditionally.

And now consider that you can do that for yourself.

You can create that acceptance in your inner world towards yourself unconditionally.

Imagine that you can accept yourself fully and completely just as you are in each moment.

That you accept and take care of yourself just as you are in each moment.

And with this hand on your heart say,

May I be happy,

May I be healthy,

May I accept myself as I am.

And you can remove the hand if you like but just come back for a few more moments to the rhythm of your breath,

To fully accepting your mind and your breath in a gentle breath-focused meditation for the last minute of our practice.

Now seeing if there's more calm inside and opening your ears to the sound of the bell.

Loved imagining everyone accepting me unconditionally. And then me doing that for myself. Thank you for that. ❤️

I really like this a lot. Very well metered. Perfect tone. Perfect silent spaces. Loved that this practice held me to task. Will repeat often. Thank you.
