Imagine this person who you think you have a karmic connection with.

See this person as clearly as possible,

As this person is standing before you.

Notice if there's a tightening,

There's a tightening inside.

There's something you need to process,

And as support,

Put your hands on your heart.

Feel your heart beating.

Feel that between you and that person,

On some level there is a heart connection.

There's a deep heart connection that has formed over time.

And try to feel every word with your heart.

Every word you will speak,

Imagine it going from your heart to their heart.

No matter who this person is or what they're doing,

These words will have an effect.

Say to this person,

I forgive you.

I ask you to forgive me.

Forgive me for everything in this life and possibly in previous lives.

If you are causing me pain now,

It's possible that I have caused you pain before.

I apologize for any pain I might have caused you.

Forgive me for my ego.

Forgive me for any moment of seeing you as less worthy and seeing myself as more worthy,

Or for seeing myself as less worthy and seeing you as more worthy.

Forgive me for both.

Please forgive me for anything negative I have said about you.

And forgive me for anything negative I have said in your presence.

Forgive me for any time I didn't see you as a whole person and only saw you through eyes of the ego or through eyes of what you can do for me.

Forgive me for that.

Forgive me for any time I didn't respect your boundaries or destroyed you with my words,

My thoughts,

Or my actions.

Forgive me if I hurt your heart in any way.

Forgive me my inability to see you as free and let you go.

Forgive me for any grudges or expectations.

Forgive me for any time I didn't see your strength or didn't see mine.

Forgive me here and now and for anything in the past.

Feel how your words go from heart to heart and the heart of the other person heals.

And so does yours.

Now as you imagine this person,

Feel what sensation you have in your body,

In your mind,

In your heart as you say these words.

Say the words,

I let you go.

I let you go.

Be how you feel.

Does everything contract at the heart or is there calm and acceptance?

You are free.

Again,

Notice if there's inner protest or there's calm.

I want you to be happy.

And notice,

Do you want to see this person unhappy or do you want to see them happy?

Saying for this person,

You don't belong to me.

No matter how much suffering binds us,

You don't belong to me.

You belong to the world,

To the earth,

To yourself and your own spiritual journey.

And now with a hand still on your heart,

Thank this person for the lessons that he or she has brought into your life.

Whether it's lessons of love or acceptance or finding your strength or letting go.

And now thank yourself for having done this practice.

Take a deep breath in,

A deep breath out through the mouth,

Letting your hand release,

But keep that awareness around the heart,

Which has opened some more.

And slowly,

Gently,

In your own time,

Opening your eyes,

Coming back.
