And beginning by gently closing your eyes,

As always acknowledging yourself for being here.

And take a deep breath in.

Take a deep breath out through the mouth.

And starting with gratitude for yourself and gratitude for self-care.

Self-care and listening to yourself as the highest form of service.

And notice where there's tension in your body.

Take a deep breath into that.

And letting go,

Breathe out through the mouth.

And for a few moments,

Be with your breath.

Notice with simple gratitude,

Sensations of the breath.

And go ahead and put one or both hands on the heart.

Place your awareness on that gentle beating of the heart.

The heart is such a wonderful role model of how to live our lives.

The heart receives oxygen from the lungs and at first nurtures itself.

It takes that oxygen and circulates it all around the heart to take care of itself.

And then it pumps blood all through the body to every single cell.

So every single cell benefits from the heart taking care of itself.

With the self-care of this heart that's beating,

The heart cares for the whole body and cares for you.

So breathing into this heart with awareness,

With attention,

With affection.

And wishing for this heart,

May this heart be well.

May this heart be aware of its own wholeness.

May this heart be aware of its own being.

May this heart be healthy and at peace.

And may this heart experience the fullness of its being.

And wishing for yourself,

May I be at ease.

May I know that I am protected.

May I know the lightness and the levity and joy of life.

And may I always be in tune with this heart.

And you can release the hand back down when it feels comfortable.

And let's take one deep breath in.

One deep breath out through the mouth.

One deep breath out through the mouth.

And opening your ears to sounds in the room.
