Virgo Archetype: Woman Of Light
A visualisation for Virgo season and harvest time. This powerful meditation will help you connect to that part of you which is pure, whole and sovereign. I have borrowed words from two Louise Glück poems found in the collection 'The Wild Iris', and have also taken inspiration from Arizona Smith, artist and tarot reader.

Hello,
This is a meditation inspired by the archetype of Virgo.
This might be nice to do at harvest time,
In September Virgo season,
Or whenever you need to remind yourself of your wholeness,
Your integrity,
Your power.
So,
Imagine there is a woman standing in a field,
It's harvest time,
Late summer,
Early autumn,
You are this woman standing in the field,
Heaven and earth,
Heaven on earth,
On top a band of blue,
Underneath a band of green and gold,
Green and deep rose,
What colours can you see in the field around you,
Golden wheat,
Brown and bronze,
The sparkles and shimmers of flying creatures catching the light,
The sun pouring like honey,
Warm and unctuous,
Warm and enveloping your skin,
Or a purer,
Paler light with a chill underneath of the earth,
The blush of apples,
The dapple of oak leaves,
Here you are standing in the field,
Receiving the light,
Feeling the air on your skin,
The breeze catching your hairs,
Feel the glimmers of sensations across your skin,
Around your edges,
The vibration under your skin,
And your heartbeat,
Your heartbeat,
And whatever you can sense or cannot sense,
You are alive,
You are here,
Breathing,
Take a breath,
Breathe out,
Breathe in,
Breathe out,
Imagine all this space around you,
All the air around you,
And the earth holding you,
The earth holding you,
You have an enormous amount of space,
So it's harvest season,
A time of both pause,
Sweetness and falling away,
The anticipation of reaching for a ripe blackberry,
Sensing its fullness before picking it,
The deep satisfaction of holding,
Of having,
Before the palms open to let go,
The abundance and the digging in of all that abundance,
The turning back to the earth,
The composting and releasing,
Hold yourself here,
Feel yourself held,
And invite in anything you need,
If there's any way you could be more comfortable or more aligned,
Inviting ease,
And inviting all the parts of you that are absent,
Or hurting,
Or abandoned,
Or angry,
Frustrated,
Or bored,
Disappointed,
Or numb,
Coming back,
Coming back to center,
As you take up space at the center of the field,
Now letting energy that is not yours fall away,
Invite it to go,
This woman is powerful,
You are powerful,
And you can command that it goes,
Tell it to leave now,
The energy from other people,
From environments you've been in,
Other people's rhythms and cares,
Their shame and their worries,
Let them go,
And the golden light amongst the harvest,
You both observe this woman and you are her,
With the stability of an oak tree in the middle of the field,
The ancient oak,
Roots deep in the earth,
That absorbs all,
That witnesses all,
Earth beyond time,
Earth beyond us,
And standing here,
Breathing here,
Wide,
Spacious,
Soft breaths,
And cool back all of your energy that might be scattered,
With your breath,
Call it back,
I command my energy to return to me,
Your attention that's focused elsewhere,
Your devotion that's pouring on others,
I command my energy to return back to me,
Remember yourself,
Come back to yourself here,
Feel the softness of your skin,
Your feet grounding,
Rooting into the earth,
The support of the earth,
Her hug,
Her steady holding,
Come back to your hips,
Your pelvis,
Your spine,
Your shoulders,
Your arms and fingertips,
Your heart,
Call your energy to return,
And draw your attention in,
Your breathing,
This is your breath,
This breath is a gift from the spaciousness around you,
Breathe,
And here you are in this golden light of early autumn,
Sovereign and powerful,
Centered and whole,
In your wholeness,
You are a column of light,
Imagine,
Sense the column of light through you,
In you,
The crown of your head,
The sky,
Your spine,
Feet,
And earth,
A column of light,
A whole woman,
A pure woman with a perfect soul,
What if this divine woman that you are was never injured,
Was never murdered,
Was never gas lit,
You are a goddess of wholeness,
What if you were never neglected,
Were never betrayed,
Were never harmed,
There is a purity to her,
To you,
To this soul that is untouchable,
Whole and to itself,
Your column of light,
Your self-love,
You are a goddess of love,
Claim your space,
That argument is over,
That struggle is over,
You are this column of light,
You are this divine woman,
No more struggling,
No more explaining,
No justifications,
Let it go,
You are here in your space,
In your body,
You have the magic of your soul,
Your shimmer,
Your integrity,
Your playfulness,
Your joy,
Your feet in the earth,
That's all you need,
Come back,
Come back,
Remember her,
And this woman does not eat poison,
She does not accept scraps,
So let the untruths fall away,
They cannot stick to this woman,
They cannot stick to this soul,
This soul is freer than that,
This soul is free,
This soul is joyful,
This soul can travel through it all,
The grief,
The anger,
The fear,
And what strength or protection might she need to move about through the world,
Have no fear for your brightness,
Your playfulness,
Your brightness,
It might scold,
It might shock,
Your light is part of your protection,
But it must also be protected,
Protection of this oak tree,
Its trunk,
Its stability,
By your deep roots in the black damp earth,
To nourish yourself,
To accept only that which feeds you,
Reject the poison,
Reject the distraction and the static,
Trust your breath,
Nourish yourself with your breath,
Trusting the wind,
Trusting the rivers,
Trusting the roots,
You are sovereign,
You are soul,
And your light deserves impeccable boundaries,
Your love deserves boundaries,
You deserve your love,
And your love needs your hands so it can flow,
Your love needs your service so it can be shared,
Your love needs your discipline so that it can stay true,
So you come back,
You find yourself here in the field,
You find yourself once more this column of light,
Keep going back to your centre,
Relaxed,
Relax,
Soften your face,
Soften your jaw,
There's space,
There's space for your breath,
Ease for your spine,
Pelvis,
Hips,
Legs,
Feet,
Grounding,
Rooting your column of light,
Your soul,
Seeing yourself as this woman in the field,
The space all around you,
Light and shadows,
All this time,
Peace never leaves him,
But it rushes through me,
Not as sustenance the flower holds,
But like bright light through the bare trees,
Peace rushes through me,
The light and vibration,
The air,
The leaves,
The humming of the insects,
The humming of the earth,
Its beat,
Your heartbeat,
Your freedom to move,
Your freedom to serve,
Your freedom to take up space,
Your freedom to retreat,
Your love,
Your body that loves you,
The love you are that runs all the way through you,
Take a few nice deep breaths,
Delicious breaths,
Enjoy them,
Enjoy the sun on your skin,
And bring this together with,
Bring this to an end with a prayer or a wish,
May I be whole,
May I know and protect my own worth,
May I love myself endlessly,
May all beings,
All creatures be well,
Be loved and know peace,
May all beings know their belonging to this earth and to each other,
And may all beings know their belonging to this earth and to each other,
Take a nice deep breath,
My deep gratitude to you,
Thank you.
