Hi my friend,

Begin to slowly soften into this moment,

If it feels right you can close your eyes,

Maybe place a hand or two over your heart,

Breathe in deeply,

Exhale let it go,

Allow yourself to arrive and settle into whatever's present within you right now,

Right away can you tap into your self compassion,

My friend what if the problem isn't how you're feeling,

What if the problem is how you are judging how you are feeling,

Breathe around that,

Inhale,

Exhale,

There's nothing wrong with how you feel,

Can you allow yourself to unravel and just be in the feelings that are asking to be felt,

Releasing the resistance,

Allow the feelings to visit,

It is safe to express your feelings,

To emote,

To set your feelings free,

Continue to deepen your breath to soothe your soul as you feel,

Inhale,

Notice where you feel the feeling in your body,

Remember feelings are simply invitations to becoming more alive,

There is nothing wrong with you,

Honor the feelings that are rising,

Honor the feelings that are releasing within you,

It is all ok,

Breathe it in,

See if you can feel this surrender,

Allowing all parts of you to exist,

To feel,

To breathe,

To be,

Notice my friend how empowering it is to feel,

To be human,

To be real,

What a gift it is to have these complex emotions,

To have this range,

To be a living,

Breathing human,

To feel is to be all the way alive,

Maybe wrap yourself up in a hug,

Holding yourself as you whisper,

There is nothing wrong with me,

I am allowed to feel,

It is safe for me to feel,

There is nothing wrong with me,

Feel this gentleness and compassion rise within you and hold you,

Feel now the sacredness of your feelings,

The gift of your feelings,

Follow the breath in,

Follow the breath out,

Notice how you feel now,

Maybe there is relief,

A little less judgment,

Tell yourself something you've been waiting to hear,

Hold yourself here for another moment,

One more cleansing breath in,

And let it all go,

Become aware of the ground beneath you,

Your chair,

Cushion,

Feel the stillness,

The steadiness,

Blinking your eyes open if they were closed,

Take your time to slowly come out of your practice,

Yet maintain this deep sense of compassion,

Non-judgment,

Permission,

Go slowly now and be kind to your mind,

One more breath in,

Exhale,

There you are,

It's ok to feel my friend,

I feel too,

What a gift it is to be human and to be all the way alive,

From my heart to yours.

Eileen, your words found me at just the right moment. Today, we move my son off to college a bittersweet new beginning for him and for us. Thank you for creating the space for me to feel it all, the pride, the ache, and the love.
