Arrive slowly here.

Maybe close your eyes so you can really arrive into what's going on within.

Take a deep breath in.

As you exhale drop into your heart.

Feel your awareness arrive into your heart.

Into your knowing.

So many people are rushing.

People are hustling and showcasing how productive they are.

My friend,

Busy is not your purpose.

You don't need to be rushed to be successful.

Allow yourself to feel the relief in that.

There is no rush.

You can go slowly and still make an impact.

You can go slowly and still get done what you need to get done.

What would it feel like to release the hustle?

What would it feel like to instead focus on aligned action?

What would really feel good?

Only doing what serves your nervous system.

What feels in alignment with your heart.

Sit with this.

What would you like to be doing if you weren't focused on what you should be doing?

What would you like to be doing if you weren't focused on the expectations?

What would be seen as most productive?

What would feel the best,

The next aligned action for you and only you?

Listen to these beautiful words.

Resting is doing.

You don't need to be busy.

You don't need to justify your existence in terms of productivity.

Rest is an essential part of survival.

An essential part of us.

An essential part of being the animals that we are.

When a dog lies in the sun,

I imagine it does so without guilt.

Because as far as I can tell,

Dogs seem more in tune with their own needs.

As I grow older,

I think that resting might actually be the main point of life.

To sit down passively inside or outside and merely absorb things.

The tick of a clock.

A cloud passing by.

The distant hum of traffic.

A bird singing.

Can feel like an end to itself.

Can actually feel and be more meaningful than a lot of the stuff we are conditioned to see as productive.

Just as we need pauses between notes for music to sound good,

And just as we need punctuation in a sentence for it to be coherent,

We should see rest and reflection,

And passivity,

And even sitting on the sofa,

As an intrinsic and essential part of life that is needed for the whole to make sense.

You don't need to be busy.

You don't need to hustle.

You can rest.

You can slow down,

And then only when you're ready,

Not a moment sooner,

Take aligned action slowly.

You just being here is enough.

Existing and breathing.

Feel into this rest,

This essential part of your becoming.

What if it's in the slowing down that you actually become more of who you are,

Versus rushing and forcing your way there?

Honor the you that you are now.

Cultivate this deep knowing that there's no rush.

Focus on alignment,

Rest,

And taking the next best step that feels good to your heart.

Let this be your norm,

Your default.

Stop comparing to everyone outside of you that seems to have it all together,

That glamorizes productivity.

Breathe in,

Breathe out.

You get to determine the pace of your life.

Take your time.

Reawaken into your body,

Your hands,

Your feet.

Maybe roll the shoulders a couple times and rock the head side to side.

Come back to your surroundings very slowly.

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Blinking your eyes open if they were closed.

Take your sweet,

Sweet time.

From my heart to yours.

Excellent meditation for slowing down and readjusting. Pace, voice and music are spot on. You have such a nurturing voice. Your prompts are hard truths spoken with a soft voice that is not demanding or pandering. This work feels like it's truly your calling. Thank you for sharing it and for helping me.
