Welcome to the guided meditation for peaceful pregnancy and birth prep with Elizabeth Schellhart.

Please come to a comfortable seat or lie down with support on your left side.

Gently close your eyes.

Start to drop your awareness into the body,

Into the breath.

Invite in a few deeper,

Smoother and fuller breaths.

Let yourself just be.

Settle into this moment exactly as it is.

Settle into this moment exactly at this particular stage of your pregnancy.

You and your baby are on a journey together.

The relationship with your baby is changing and growing every day.

Acknowledge that you can communicate non-verbally with your baby.

They know you are there.

Now lightly bring your attention back to your breath.

Not altering it at all,

Just noticing it.

Feel your breath from the inside through your body.

This breath connects you directly to the present moment and directly to your baby.

As you inhale,

Your baby receives nourishment.

As you exhale,

Your baby relaxes.

As you inhale,

You receive nourishment.

As you exhale,

You relax fully.

Welcome in the quiet space of trust.

Trust in the unfolding mystery.

Trust in the sacred and transformative fire of pregnancy and birth.

Soften your jaw.

Relax your eyes.

As your body surrenders,

You make room to listen.

What is your body communicating to you right now?

Inhale,

Exhale,

Listen.

What is your baby communicating to you right now?

Inhale,

Exhale,

Listen.

As you deepen this connection with your body and baby,

Deeper layers of your own wisdom emerge.

Your body was made to sustain this precious life within.

Your body was made to give birth.

Inhale deeply into your belly,

Into your baby.

Exhale anything you don't want or need from your mental or emotional bodies.

Inhale deeply into your belly,

Into your baby.

Exhale completely letting go.

Now imagine a golden cord of light connecting your heart to your baby's heart.

This energetic cord has been there since your baby's conception.

Trust in the power of this connection.

You too are physically and energetically connected.

You too are spiritually and emotionally entwined.

Now widen your lens of awareness.

And remember all of the women in countless generations who have given birth before.

Draw from their collective strength.

This pool of strength is there for you anytime.

This pool of strength is deep and wide and endless.

Draw from their collective strength.

Feel the strength pouring into every cell of your body.

See the strength melting away any fear or worry that might still be present.

Now please place one hand lightly on your baby,

On your belly.

And one hand to rest gently over your heart.

Repeat silently or out loud after me.

I embrace the sacred gift of motherhood.

I know I am guided by forces beyond my mind.

I will be patient with my body.

My hormones are working in synergy to prepare my body for birth.

Every day brings me closer to meeting my baby.

My birth partner is there to support me every step of the way.

I am not alone.

My pelvis will be able to shift and expand during birth to provide a safe passage for my baby.

I am ready to experience the transformative power and beauty of birth.

I am safe.

My baby is safe.

The space around us is safe.

Now slowly bring your attention back to your breath.

Back to your body.

Breathing in and out like ocean waves.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Now feel your feet.

Slowly begin to wiggle your toes and your fingers.

Say thank you to your baby.

Say thank you to yourself.

Let your eyelids flutter open and the light filter in.

Feel yourself back in the room.

You can stay here as long as you like.
