Good evening.

This will be a rest and relax body scan to help release any tension that we might be storing in our muscles,

Bones,

Organs,

Or mind from the daily activities.

Bringing yourself into a comfortable seated position or lying down on your back,

Getting as comfortable as you can,

Preparing the room for relaxation,

And letting go of your day.

Or allow the day to let go of you.

Know that you did your best and tomorrow will be another opportunity if we can rest well tonight.

Slowing your breathing down to a snail's pace through your nostrils.

Long,

Slow,

Deep nasal breaths.

Slow down the process of inhale and begin to feel the body and the brain cooling down.

Slow down the process of exhale and begin to feel the body-mind unwinding from conscious to unconscious.

Bringing your mental awareness to the muscles around your eyes and the muscles that move your low jaw and completely relax and release these two areas free of tension.

Release and relax your cheekbones and your skeletal low jaw and teeth free of tension.

Simultaneously release and relax the left and right ear and the left and right nostril free of tension.

Release and relax the left side of the brain and release and relax the right side of your brain free of tension.

If you wish,

Allow the head to move slowly left to right and release and relax any tension in the bottom of the neck,

The mid-neck or upper back area.

Release and relax the upper throat,

The mid-throat down to the collarbone area,

Upper chest free of tension.

Simultaneously release and relax both shoulders and relax the back of your arms out through the fingernails free of tension.

Simultaneously release and relax the front of the shoulders down the back.

Release and relax the heart and lungs,

The muscles between the ribs and the muscles in the low back free of tension.

Release and relax the upper abdomen to the navel and from the navel to the pelvic basin free of tension.

Release and relax.

Soften the belly.

Simultaneously release and relax the two front hip bones and the buttock muscles,

The left and right buttock free of tension.

Release and relax the back of the legs out through the heel plate free of tension.

Release and relax.

Release and relax the tops of the feet to the shins,

The knees,

The muscles in the front of the legs free of tension.

If your body physically wishes to shift to another position,

Allow that to happen now.

If not,

Remain where you are and slow your breathing down.

A little slower inhale please.

A little slower exhale please.

Fill your mind with the gratitude of your heart.

Allow a sunset to occur to this day and patiently awake the next sunrise.

Know that tomorrow you will be more aware than you've ever been in your entire life and it will be the best day of your life.
