Hello,
My name is Eden,
And I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations.
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
And wherever you are,
Just go ahead and find a tall spine,
And the eyes are open as we begin.
And just starting to let your eyes soften,
Noticing the desire for your eyes to focus on something.
Maybe you notice all the little muscles behind the eye moving,
Moving the eyes back and forth as they want to find something to land on and to interpret,
To bring into your brain,
Your mind,
Your awareness.
And just seeing,
Just experimenting with what it might feel like to release all of those tiny little muscles,
To let the eyes stop searching,
And to soften.
Softening into your peripheral vision,
Releasing any need to focus on anything specifically.
And for some,
This might be quite hard to do for long periods of time.
Just giving yourself grace,
And then coming back to this softened gaze over and over again.
And breathing here,
Softening the physical body,
Just noticing what it feels like to open to the world in this way,
When there's no need to search and find through your eyesight.
You can reach,
Instead,
Just an openness,
An awareness,
Without needing to interpret anything,
Without needing to pinpoint anything.
You can just be with your larger environment,
Seeing everything all at once,
While also not grasping to any of it.
And as the eyes move so much less here,
You might find that you don't even need to blink.
There are gurus who hold this practice,
Eyes open,
Seeing it all,
Without blinking for hours.
Just starting to touch that reality in your body now,
Just for a few seconds longer.
Good.
And as you continue this practice,
Also just inviting in whatever feeling you're experiencing in your body.
What can you feel?
What can you notice?
Oftentimes,
For myself,
As I usher in this openness in my eyes,
I feel an openness down my midline,
Too.
Almost as if I am blooming from the inside out,
Opening to the world.
What do you experience as you soften,
As you open,
As you let yourself become aware without needing to search and find?
Just noticing whatever is moving through you in your physical body,
Too.
Can you anchor into whatever it is you are feeling?
Relaxing any muscles in the body and letting yourself settle in just a little bit more there,
Into whatever that experience is for you.
Whatever you're feeling is true,
Is perfect,
Is enough.
So,
So good.
And now go ahead and close the eyes from top to bottom,
Maybe noticing any shifts in the eyes or all those little muscles.
Sometimes here our eyes continue to want to search,
Even though the eyes are closed.
Noticing any little micro-movements of the eyes and seeing if you can just let the eyes fully relax.
Again,
Reminding them that there is no need to search,
To find.
And here,
Again,
Can you access the feeling in the body that you just had?
Maybe it's an opening,
A softening,
An unfurling,
Whatever it might be.
Imagining that your body also opens to the world and softens to it,
Just like your gaze.
Like your body is your awareness that can hold everything beyond you,
Too.
Holding everything around you.
Being aware of everything beyond you,
Even with the eyes closed.
Opening up the body and the mind to everything that is just beyond you,
Without grasping to any of it.
What is that like?
Letting yourself be here for a few breaths.
This feeling,
This experience is your openness.
Your openness to allow downloads,
Perceptions,
Visuals,
Emotions,
Energy to move in or out.
This is the open door in your system.
We must cultivate this relationship if we want to deepen into our relationship,
Not just to self,
But sharing with others,
Too.
In these healing practices,
We must first be present and trust,
And then allow ourselves to open,
To let anything come in or out without our ego,
Our frontal lobe,
Our preconceived notions,
Our expectations to get in the way.
Just open with curiosity,
Trust,
Intention,
So that then you can start to be aware of what is here.
You can perceive what is here.
And from there,
Change can happen.
Cultivating this open door in your system,
Relaxing over and over,
Softening over and over,
Letting the mind drop into the body over and over,
Being so present,
So present.
That something within you starts to shift.
Welcome home.
