Hello,
My name is Eden and I am a therapist,
Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations.
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
And today we are going to be exploring the feeling of opening up to our intuition,
Or to source.
This connection that is above us,
Beyond us,
Within us,
Is us,
Just can be a little further away in the way in which we live our day to day lives.
So this meditation will be much more quiet than you are probably used to hearing from me,
As we just make space for your intuition to come online.
Finding a comfortable seat wherever you are,
Deep breaths in,
Long slow breaths out,
Telling your system there is no rush,
You are allowed to just be right here,
Right here.
Letting a wave of relaxation move down the body,
Releasing any tiny little tense muscles.
And taking a few more waves of relaxation down the body,
Being more and more relaxed with each round of breath.
And if it's helpful,
Also imagining the mind moving down through the face,
The neck,
And into the heart.
This,
Personally,
Just helps my mind rest,
And to know that the body can come online.
For some,
Our intuition lives in the body,
It's a deeply felt sense.
And for others,
It can seem like it exists a little more in the mind,
Not through logic,
But just through thought or picturing words.
So just moving the mind down into the heart,
And letting yourself be even more right here.
And there's this energy with inviting in our intuition where we deeply need to release any expectation.
It's this energetic of having an open palm instead of a closed fist.
And perhaps even taking it a little step further,
You can have that open palm,
That readiness to hold and receive.
And when we let ourselves fully soften and be right here,
It almost takes it up a notch into this raising that open palm,
Raising that hand,
Telling the universe you are ready to receive,
Pick me.
And we only raise that hand energetically when it still does not usher in expectation.
It's just this deeper invitation to receive.
Can you actually resonate with no wrong answers?
Are you brave enough to actually look everything in the face and hear what's being said?
Because sometimes it might not be comfortable,
Or clear,
Or understood.
It might just be something that comes in.
So letting yourself rest in the fact that you might not know,
But you are ready to receive.
You're open,
You're curious,
You're honest,
You're present.
There's always something here that can feel like the mental gym as well,
Remembering that intuition is not just this light switch that all of a sudden there's a secret,
And now you know,
And now you are in your intuition.
It's a muscle to be flexed,
And how I find this muscle in my brain is,
Imagine that you're talking to someone with a thick accent,
Maybe a thick southern drawl,
And you can't quite figure out the words they're saying.
So you relax the mind,
You open up for more possibilities,
For more slang,
For different cadences.
You find this relaxation and opening in the mind,
And all of a sudden it's a little easier to understand what they're saying.
Can you access that feeling,
That experience in yourself right now,
Softening the mind,
Opening the mind,
Almost as if the mind smiles,
Widens,
Gently curls up.
And the exercise here is to stay here,
Stay in that feeling,
Not forcing this open,
But relaxing into it,
Remembering that when we tense up,
Less energy can come in or towards us.
So can you keep the body relaxed,
Keep the mind open in this position,
And let this be familiar.
Relax into it,
Open the mind,
And when you notice it's starting to close,
Just gently relaxing it again,
Not forcing it open like a foot in a door,
But just asking it.
Stay open and ready to receive,
And we'll stay here for a few minutes,
Familiarizing yourself with this part of your mind,
To just be and practice this.
Maybe you notice the body wanting to move,
The mind has wandered off,
And just wrangle it back into that soft mental smile,
Relaxing and opening.
Maybe you're noticing a feeling in your body now,
And can you just anchor into that feeling,
Familiarizing yourself with that too.
Because the more that you can notice and anchor into,
The easier this state can be to access,
To reach for.
Because you know what it's like in your body,
In your system.
And maybe,
Just maybe,
We open up now to a question.
One I often like to ask is,
What do I need to hear right now?
Let yourself receive an answer.
Deep breath in,
Long breath out.
As you start to gently come back to this space,
Knowing your intuition is always there for you when you need it,
As you familiarize yourself with it and find it more and more accessible,
With time and dedication.
Relaxing the body once more.
And then whenever you're ready to return to the day,
Gently doing so by blinking the eyes open.
