Reiki teacher,
And meditation guide.
Now whether you've found this meditation through one of my Reiki courses or just through the web of life,
Welcome.
These meditations are intended to deepen your relationship to your intuition and gifts,
And facilitate an understanding of your own internal landscape.
Each meditation is also a tool that can be offered to yourself or a client,
So I invite you to notice what shifts within you before,
During,
After,
Beyond the meditation,
Cataloging the effects with words and feelings and sensations,
Just letting yourself take note.
Allow it to be personal and universal.
Let's begin.
And today we are going to explore the idea of creating a protection for yourself.
And this sort of protection can be envisioned and utilized really at any time,
Yet common moments for it are during your own energetic practices,
When you are driving in a car or flying on a plane,
Interacting with people,
Maybe you are perceiving or picking up on energy that they hold that you just want to make sure that you don't take on yourself.
So having some sort of protection is really necessary if you identify as an empath,
But I believe we can also all benefit from this sort of idea,
This visualization,
This practice.
Because again,
It's also personal.
Everyone's protections will be a little bit different because they're yours.
And mine might not feel quite right to you.
So more than anything,
The invitation for this meditation is to just allow yourself to settle on something that feels really true and natural and good.
In that same way,
You can trust whatever comes up first.
You can notice any reactions or responses in your body.
And just allow yourself to be fully here.
So wherever you are,
Just finding some comfort in your body,
Taking some little movement to make yourself just like 5% more comfortable.
And then relaxing the space between the eyebrows,
Letting the nose be long on the face,
Letting the cheeks move down the cheekbones,
The jaw releases,
The tongue relaxes,
And the space right behind both ears unwinds.
The shoulders gently move away from the ears,
And you release any tension down the arms,
Letting a few pointed breaths move into the chest,
To the rib cage,
To the belly,
And letting the femurs unplug from the hips,
And just sending another wave of relaxation down the legs and through the soles of the feet.
And then bringing your awareness into your heart center.
And just relaxing here for a few breaths,
Letting anywhere in the body that's still tense to release,
Unwind,
Relax,
Let go.
Accessing now a feeling of calm within you,
Maybe noticing if there's anywhere in the body where your calm seems to specifically live or pool,
And just letting yourself soak in that feeling,
Being calm and open and trusting right now.
Letting this moment be enough.
Knowing that whatever is to come is perfect.
So I'm just going to say a little prompt here,
And just let whatever arises arise.
So somehow imagine that your body is separated from the rest of the world.
There's something between you and the world around you.
Keeping the muscles of the face relaxed.
If something doesn't come up immediately,
Just kind of letting yourself run through many different options in your brain,
In your mind,
Of ways that you could be separated from the rest of the world.
And letting whatever one feels still calm and relaxing and easy to visualize and true be yours.
And whenever you have that,
Just really breathing low and slow into this visualization,
This sensation.
Letting yourself see the intricacies of the scene in front of you,
Within you.
Letting yourself notice the felt sense that comes online as you bring in whatever feels true for you as this protection from the outside world.
Being with it right here,
Right now.
Relaxing the physical body on purpose again.
And holding this feeling and visual now.
And continuing to hold this visual in your mind's eye,
This felt sense in your body,
As I just take a moment to remind this protection,
This separation,
A few things.
That whatever sort of barrier or shield or protection has now been formed between you and the outside world,
It is there only out of love and care.
That you don't need to let everything in,
In order to give back.
That in fact,
You will be able to show up deeper,
More truly,
More energized with this protection in place whenever you need it.
And this protection just lets all other energy that is not yours to roll away.
Knowing too that any energy that is of you and for you and making its way to you can easily pass through and integrate into your system,
Your heart,
Your love.
There is nothing here oriented towards hate.
It is all love still.
Love allows everything to grow and flourish and alchemize and change.
And that is all still present here with your protection.
Deep breath in and long,
Slow,
Yummy breath out.
Let's take a few of those as you gently let the corners of your lips curl up.
And knowing now that you can reach for that protective shield whenever you feel like it might help you interact with the world a little bit better in some way.
Know it's always here for you and even when,
Even when you aren't actively calling on it,
It can still be here.
Can you trust yourself just a little bit more to let this protection be in place at all times?
And taking a moment here to just make a gentle promise or mantra to yourself.
I protect myself.
I trust myself.
I am compassionate with myself and the world around me without needing to take it all on.
Whatever comes up to you is perfect.
And breathing in to that mantra and to that protection just once more,
All together through the body,
Into the mind,
Anchoring into everything around you too.
And then gently letting it all go,
Moving back into your space however you'd like and in your own time.
