Welcome to this morning breathwork and affirmations practice to get you in a good state of mind.
So we're going to start by making sure that you're in a comfortable position,
An upright position,
And just take a moment to roll the shoulders away from your ears,
Sitting up nice and tall so that you can breathe into the belly.
Close or lower your eyes and let's begin.
Take a moment to notice how you're feeling today.
How is your body feeling today?
How is your mind feeling today?
How are you feeling today energetically?
We're trying not to judge or analyse,
We're just trying to be curious,
Take notice.
And then let go of whatever's come up and start to bring attention onto your breath.
Try not to change it first of all,
Just trying to notice how you're breathing,
Whether you're breathing in and out,
Whether you're breathing in and out,
Whether you're breathing in and out.
Through the nose or the mouth,
Whether you feel any movements into the shoulders as you breathe,
Any movements into the belly,
The chest,
The throat,
And then focusing on a slow breath,
Focusing on that slow exhale,
Calming the nervous system,
Telling your mind and your body that you're safe.
Focusing on breathing into the belly,
Maybe placing the hands onto the lower side of the body,
Breathing into the belly,
Maybe placing the hands onto the lower stomach,
Underneath the belly button,
With each inhale focusing on the belly rising,
And with each exhale focusing on the belly drawing back towards the spine.
Breathing deeply,
Breathing slowly,
Telling your mind and your body that you're safe.
So we're going to breathe in,
Bringing a bit of a count here to help focus the mind further.
So we're going to be breathing in for four and then out in through the nose and then out through pursed lips,
Out through the mouth for four and then six and then eight,
So taking three rounds.
If at any point the count doesn't feel good for you then just let it go and come back to a slow belly breath instead.
So first of all let everything out here,
Take an exhale.
Breathe in,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe out,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe in,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe out,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe in,
Three,
Two,
One.
Breathe out,
Seven,
Six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Take a big breath in and a big sigh out.
Another big breath in and a big sigh out.
Coming back to a slow breath and then we'll start to bring in a different variation of that breath.
So this time our four,
Seven,
Eight breaths.
So we're going to be breathing in through the nose for four,
Breathing in through the nose for four,
Holding to the count of seven and then breathing out through the mouth for the count of eight making an ocean sound.
So we'll make a sound out the mouth.
We're going to take five rounds of that and again if anything doesn't feel good for you,
For your body,
Then let it go,
Come back to those slow belly breaths.
So first of all exhale everything out.
Breathe in,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four,
Five,
Six,
Seven.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Breathe out.
Breathe in.
Hold.
Breathe out.

Take a big breath in and a big sigh out.
Take another big breath in.
Big sigh out.
Come back to some normal breaths.
Checking back in with yourself,
Noticing how you're feeling.
Does anything feel different?
Maybe it doesn't and that's okay.
Again,
We're not trying to judge or analyze,
We're being curious,
We're noticing any shifts in the body,
Any shifts any shifts in the body,
Any shifts in the mind,
Any shifts in our energy levels.
Okay,
We're going to move into our affirmations.
So our affirmations are going to set our intentions for the day.
We're welcoming in positive thoughts and feelings,
Getting our mind right in a good state of mind today.
So either repeating in your mind or out loud each affirmation after me.
I am enough.
I am present.
I am grateful for my life.
I am grateful for this day.
I am free to be whoever I want to be.
I am grateful for the time I take for myself.
I trust that the universe wants the best for me.
I am giving my best.
I am thankful for everything my body does for me.
I am abundant and there is so much opportunity available to me.
I am deserving of what I deserve.
I am deserving of love and joy.
I can achieve whatever I put my mind to.
How I feel about myself is so much more important than how I look.
I am enough.
Take a big breath in.
Sigh it out.
Take another big breath in,
Filling up the lungs.
Take a big sigh out.
