Good morning.
Find a steady and comfortable seat for your meditation.
Root down,
Grow up,
And clear out.
Close your eyes.
Visualize the blue sky and let your mind merge with the clear blue sky.
Connect with your breath.
Breathe consciously through the nose.
Feel the breath move across the nostrils.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Calm the mind.
Feel you are here now.
Feel the Buddhas,
Bodhisattvas,
The teachings and the teachers and the Sangha are all here with you and supporting you.
Feel your breath enter your ever-expanding heart space.
Now rest your mind on the sound of the bell.
I wake up this morning with enthusiastic diligence.
Today I will practice taming my mind with the armies of loving kindness and compassion.
If at any time today I notice the feelings of anger arising,
I will breathe into this emotion and with my exhale I will let the feeling dissipate and dissolve.
I will practice noticing all negative emotions the moment they begin to arise and remember that these emotions are not real.
I can change my own mind and turn it inward towards the Dharma,
Towards love and compassion.
Today I will practice feeling content with what I have,
With what is.
If I notice desire arising today or attachment to something or someone,
I will notice the emotion and I will practice directing my attention to the temporary nature of all things including the object of desire and the desire itself.
All things must pass.
Change is inevitable.
Today as I perceive objects,
People,
Events,
I will imagine I have no previous experience with these things.
No history,
No prejudice,
No preference.
And this mindset will help me see things more clearly as they are.
As I proceed on the path,
I recognize words and labels and trying to figure it all out becomes an obstacle to really understanding emptiness which comes from direct experience.
Experiencing my own Buddha nature which is like the blue sky,
Clear and spacious.
Clouds of thoughts and emotions may roll through my mind but I will not let them linger.
I will let them go,
Let them pass and dissolve.
Take a deep breath through your nose into your blue sky mind and exhale out the nose.
Release the clouds of thought and emotion.
Feel the breath move across the nostrils.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Be here now.

May all beings be happy.
May all beings be free from suffering and the cause of suffering.
May all beings reach perfect happiness,
Remain in it,
And live in equanimity.
May all beings maintain love for all others without discrimination.
Sarvamangalam.
