Welcome. This experiential practice incorporates imagery and breath to support lovingkindness and compassion; to activate the resilient and nurturing light that you already have inside of you. I've included a mantra at the closing of our practice that you can call upon whenever you’d like to access this light for yourself or for others. I hope that you enjoy. Welcome.

I'm Sarah.

Thank you so much for having me with you today.

Let's just start by taking a deep breath together.

Deep here in this moment.

As you begin to find this place,

You may choose to let your body shift and move.

Perhaps you roll out your neck or your shoulders.

Maybe it feels nice to stretch out your arms.

Or perhaps you find some stillness and your eyes gently close.

Find a comforting place to rest their gaze.

Just be.

In a moment,

Let's take another deep breath in and long.

As you inhale,

Notice the cool air.

As you exhale,

Notice the warm air flowing.

Notice what that feels like.

Maybe you begin to slow everything down.

Noticing what it feels like to just be here in this moment.

In your mind's eye,

You might begin to imagine a beautiful field.

Notice all that you can sense around you.

What you see.

What you hear.

What you smell and even what you can touch.

In this next moment,

Maybe you find a place to rest in this field.

Perhaps you create a little nest for yourself.

Maybe with some flowers or soft leaves or grass.

If it's just for you.

And once you feel settled,

You might notice the gentle warmth of the sun shining down upon you.

Sharing with you a calming,

Restorative energy.

Maybe you feel the sun gradually warm your body from your feet all the way to the very top of your head.

Maybe it feels good to pause a moment with this warm gentle energy.

Sensing it ebb and flow throughout your being.

And as this energy flows within you,

Maybe you can sense the pure,

Raw strength and power that exists within each and every muscle of your body.

Maybe you discover your strength and power rooted deep within your heart center.

Sometimes it's hard to feel this strength and power.

See if you can sense the sun shining upon your heart.

Feeling it with warmth,

Energy,

Radiance.

Maybe you can remember the love,

Care and compassion your heart has shared through the years.

And the love,

Care and compassion it has received.

Maybe it would be nice to feel more love,

More care.

As you breathe in and as you breathe out,

See if you can sense.

You can always find love here for ourselves,

For others.

You might choose to rest your hands upon your heart if it feels good.

And maybe as you rest your hands upon your heart,

You notice a different feeling.

Stay present.

Just notice what comes up for you.

As you sense your heart,

Maybe you connect with your being.

Or at least some of your strength.

As you remember just how much you've navigated in your life.

The ups and downs.

The unexpected.

The curveballs and the spirals.

The waves.

Sometimes we feel vulnerable and we question our abilities.

Sometimes you make mistakes or you fall down.

It really hurts.

And it's okay to hear that hurt and to feel that hurt.

Sometimes you might notice a part of us that can be so critical and seems to judge all of our decisions and every action.

Sometimes warning us that we weren't good enough.

Maybe we thank that part of us for trying to help us the best way it knows how.

And maybe remind this part that it's okay for us to be human and to make mistakes.

That it doesn't mean we weren't good enough.

That sometimes we run into times that make us struggle.

And that maybe this critical part of us,

This judgmental part,

Can support us some more.

But reminding us how much we're learning and growing from these moments.

And how we were able to navigate it.

And it might acknowledge us for showing up.

For making the effort.

And it's not easy to do.

Maybe you notice a sense of compassion growing for all that you've been through in your life.

And a bit of patience for all that you feel and all that you continue to navigate.

And you might wish for yourself,

May I always find love.

May I always find patience.

May I always find compassion.

Perhaps you know others who are struggling and you might choose to share some of this warmth and care and compassion.

This beautiful energy with them.

Maybe you send some of this energy to those you don't know at all.

Or even those with whom you feel frustrated or have upset you in your life.

Maybe you wish for them,

May you always find love.

May you always find patience.

Imagine them receiving this heartfelt wish.

Perhaps you send some of this love,

Patience and compassion out into the universe for anyone else who might need it.

Notice what this feels like.

And in this next moment,

Let's take another deep breath in.

And long breath out.

What is it like to be present right now in this moment?

Sense and feel the rhythm of your natural breath as it flows.

You might slowly open your eyes.

Thank you for inviting me here with you today.

I send so much love,

Patience and compassion your way as you step into the next part of your day.
