Welcome to Finding Your Bridge From Work/School To Home. At the end of work day or night, the transition from the your work/school mind to your “home” mind ( these areas can be unique and personal in what they entail) can be challenging. This imagery, story-based practice is intended to give you a little support in this process, and hopefully provide you with a much -deserved sense of relaxation and rejuvenation in both mind and body. Please note, this is a very relaxing meditation and best to be used once you arrive home. It isn't intended to be used while driving as you may feel less alert during the meditation. Enjoy:) Music: Purpose, by Jonny Easton Photo: Timothy Dykes

Welcome.

See if you can find a comfortable place to settle in.

Feel free to invite your eyes to gently close if it feels good.

Let's start with a deep breath in your mind's Find yourself standing by the side of a beautiful,

Bubbling creek.

You can hear the sounds of the water flowing along its pathway through the earth,

Caressing nature's plentiful,

Smooth pebbles and bathing plant life along its way.

As you turn to look behind you,

You notice the events of your day at work.

You observe the energy that you spent,

All your hard work,

Your challenges,

And your victories.

It's all there behind you.

As you return your focus now to the present,

Take a deep,

Full breath.

And as you exhale,

A small,

Sturdy bridge begins to lengthen across the creek.

Take a moment to envision this bridge in your mind's eye.

What does it look like?

What is it made of?

What colors do you see?

As you listen to the bubbling creek below,

You begin to walk across the bridge.

You notice a gentle breeze as you step along,

As the breeze lightly caresses you.

You notice that the tension and stress in your body and in your mind begins to melt away,

Flowing away with the breeze.

It cools and refreshes you with every breath and with every step that you take,

You begin to feel lighter and more refreshed.

As you reach the other side of the creek,

The bridge begins to fade away.

As do the events of your workday.

It will return when you need it again.

Now,

Before you leave,

Take some space in this moment to notice what might feel really good for your body right now.

This is you taking care of you.

Perhaps it might feel nice to just shimmy and shake everything out.

Arms,

Legs,

Hands,

Feet,

Everything.

Maybe you prefer to softly roll your shoulders or take a great big stretch.

There is nothing that you need to hang on to right now.

Set it down and let it be.

Take a deep,

Full breath as you take your next step onward.

Thank you for inviting me to support you today and I send you wishes for a wonderful rest of your day.
