Life sometimes hands us circumstances that make us feel empty, exhausted, or at the end of ourselves. In those moments, it can be helpful to remember that the fulfillment of our needs and longings begins with a simple request. It begins by knowing what we want, by naming it, and then by asking for it. Use this guided meditation to open the doorway to overflowing abundance of your deepest desires.

Please come into a comfortable seated position.

As you take your seat,

Push your hips down into the earth and then lengthen your spine upright.

Take a cleansing breath here in through your nose with an exhale out of your mouth.

I'll invite you to turn your palms to face upward and then to cup them together so that one palm stacks on top of the other.

And then place your cupped hands and your stacked palms onto your lap so that your arms rest on your legs and your hands are seated just in front of your low belly.

This is one of the variations of a hand position called Lakshmi Mudra.

Lakshmi Mudra is a hand position that opens the doorway,

That opens the flow to energetic abundance.

It's a position and a posture that proclaims,

I am ready.

I am ready to receive.

Fill me up until I am overflowing.

Now I don't know what the abundance is that you need in your life right now.

Maybe it's an abundance of compassion or patience or love or perhaps it's something more tangible like the physical support of friends and family or financial resources or opportunities.

Whatever the abundance is that you desire,

That you long for,

That your heart cries out for,

That your physical vessel is asking for,

That your mind has been focused on,

Claim it and bring to mind what it is.

Hold that request in your heart and then take a big breath in and a complete breath out.

And I want you to now imagine that there is this trickle of water dripping down into your palms one drop at a time.

Drip,

Drip,

Drip.

And these singular drops begin to create a little pool in the palms of your hands.

The bigger that your breath gets,

The more that trickle of water grows.

As you breathe,

You notice that the series of singular drops falling one at a time turns into a stream of water.

And as your breath gets fuller and longer and broader and deeper,

That stream shifts and grows in unison until it is no longer like a stream but rather more like a waterfall now.

A waterfall that is gushing,

A waterfall that is filling you up until you are drenched,

Until you are overflowing,

Filled to the top and then some with abundance.

Can you see it?

Can you feel it?

Can you claim it?

And this thing that you long for,

It is arriving.

It has arrived.

It is here.

Find some way.

Find your own way right now to say thank you.

Thank you for this abundance.

Thank you for this overflow.

Let your gratitude be abundant.

Let your gratitude match the overflow of your request.

Now take your cup of abundance,

Your palms,

Lift them up from the earth and now place them right over your heart and push.

Push that abundance into your heart.

Hold it there.

Keep it there.

Inhale and breathe into it and then let your breath go with a whoosh exhale.

Then one more time inhale and fill yourself up.

Fill yourself up until whatever you have asked is pouring out of you,

Until it is spilling all around you and lighting you up from the inside.

And then when you're ready,

Release the breath all the way out.

Bow your head down to your heart.

Take this final moment and show yourself some gratitude for showing up to this meditation.

Gratitude for showing up to your desires,

For honoring your needs.

And then take one final breath.

Inhale fully and exhale completely.

Namaste my friends.

Thank you, today I have been feeling empty and unmotivated, like with no direction. I had never felt like this before, so you can imagine it feels weird, this somehow gave me peace and hope, thank you! Hopefully tomorrow I will be my shiny self again (loved the integration of the hands into the practice and the action of taking all the good to the heart and locking it in)
