While many of us are being grounded at home due to COVID-19, Mother Nature continues her seasonal flow. This practice calls on us to take cues from this season of growth by being mindful of the emotional vibrations we are rooting into, so that we can cultivate a shift of perspective to benefit our highest good. Hello and welcome.

My name is Jewel Singletary.

I'm a certified yoga instructor,

Reiki practitioner,

And meditation coach.

Many of us are being forced to anchor down at home to protect ourselves from COVID-19.

Nature is following her flow with the seasonal shift into spring.

The gardeners have started to seed.

Consider this,

What seeds are you planting in your life while you are grounding at home?

How are you cultivating your soil?

Are you digging holes of fear,

Worry,

And anxiety?

Or are you taking this opportunity to fertilize,

To produce an expansive perspective?

I am choosing to root into love and cultivate creativity.

I am reminded of the impermanence of everything in life,

Knowing that this too shall pass and that harvest season will be here before we know it.

What fruits will you bear based on what you choose to root into?

Join me in a meditation.

Make your way into a comfortable seat if you're not already there.

Take three deep cleansing breaths in preparation for your practice.

Feel your feet firmly supported by the foundation beneath them.

Acknowledge the sensation of your palms resting in your lap.

With your spine comfortably straight,

Keep reaching the crown of your head towards the sky above you.

Return back to your normal breath if you've not done so already.

Begin to notice the flow of breath as it moves throughout your body.

Start to become conscious of the parts of your body that move with your breath.

Perhaps noticing as your belly expands on your in-breath,

Gently draws back on your out-breath.

Bring your awareness to the movement of your diaphragm as your lungs fill with air.

Observe the lift of your front,

Side,

And back ribs on your inhale.

Note the settling of your ribcage on your exhale.

Continue to allow your attention to rest with your breath for the next few moments.

Exhale to the right side of your body.

Exhale to the left side of your body.

When you're ready,

Begin to deepen your breath.

Take full intentional inhales.

Be exhaustive.

Release everything on your exhale.

Gently flutter your eyes open,

Bringing your awareness back to your space.

If it feels right,

Grab a journal and scribe anything that came up for you.

Thank you so much for joining me.

Be well.

Loooved the questions of what we are planting now. Everyday I try to nurture myself in some way. Thank you for planting new seeds of thought. Namaste.
