The aim of this meditation is to help restore the flow of energy through the Liver & Gallbladder Meridian lines. Using philosophy from TCM and Neuro Emotional Technique restore the flow of energy to help clear any anger or frustration that may be causing tension & destruction within the body and return to a place of kindness and ease.

Transcript

The intention of this meditation is to bring balance to the energy through the liver and gallbladder meridian lines.

Take a few moments to make yourself comfortable,

Moving in any way that you need and settling into a position that feels nice and easy.

Closing your eyes down,

Can you allow yourself to completely drop into your sense of feeling,

Dropping out of your thinking mind.

Scan down into the body.

Notice which muscles that you may be using to hold yourself in this position.

Notice any muscles that might be holding on to extra tension and just see if by watching them can you allow them to relax.

There is no need to hold on through the jaw,

Through the temples.

Allow your belly to soften.

Allow the shoulders to drop away from the ears and the heart space to feel nice and open.

See if you can feel into your connective tissue.

While we do not have conscious control of our connective tissue,

It is always there supporting the body.

The ligaments around the joints,

The fascia around the muscles and the organs.

This is a more subtle and generalized feeling of tension or softness.

Can you notice and feel into it now?

See the patterns occurring in your body.

The liver and gallbladder meridian lines help to nourish this connective tissue.

And today we will bring balance to these meridian lines,

Releasing any stagnant energy or built-up emotion held within them.

Picturing now a light appearing in between your first and second left toes.

Right next to the left big toe there.

Maybe this light has a color.

Maybe you can sense a tingling.

This is the energy that is going to travel through your liver meridian line.

Watch it as it begins to travel now.

Slowly it moves up the top of the foot,

To the inside of the ankle.

It travels up the inner left leg,

All the way over the inner left knee.

Traveling up the inner part of the left leg,

Finding its place deep within the hip.

It travels up the left side of the abdomen,

All the way to the base of the left ribs.

With the next inhale,

This light appears at the corner,

The outside corner of the left eye.

And this energy now begins its path through the gallbladder meridian line.

With ease and softness it flows over the temple,

And down in front of the ear,

Down through the jaw.

Carefully traveling down the side of the neck,

It flows down the outside of the ribs.

Bringing softness as it travels,

All the way down to the left hip.

Continuing its journey down the outside of the left leg.

Back down on the outside of the left knee.

And all the way down the left leg,

It travels until it reaches the fourth toe.

There is a sense of ease and lightness that follows this energy.

When it has reached the end of the gallbladder meridian line,

It begins its journey on the right liver side.

That light,

That color,

That spark appears now between the big toe and the second toe on the right foot.

Moving with care,

It travels up the right foot over the inside of the right ankle,

And it begins to move up the inside of the right leg,

Over the knee.

Clearly finding its path to the inner part of the hip.

Feeling its way,

Moving with ease up the right side of the abdomen,

All the way to the base of the right ribs.

A deep inhale brings that light up through the center of the body to the outside corner of the right eye.

And it carries that softness over the right temple.

Traveling carefully down in front of the ear,

Down through the jaw.

Letting go as it travels down the outside of the right side of the neck.

Like a big exhale softening as it comes down the outside of the right side of the ribs.

You can feel the tension melting as that connective tissue feels nourished,

Whole,

Healing.

As this energy continues to travel down the gallbladder meridian,

Through the right hip,

And down the outside of the right side of the leg.

All the way down over the right knee,

Down the lower leg,

Down to the fourth toe.

Continue now to watch this light,

This color,

This energy,

Traveling around these meridian lines.

Noticing what comes up as it moves around the body.

If there are areas that the light does not flow easily,

There is no need to get frustrated.

Be patient and calm.

Use the slow rhythmic flow of your own breath to bring back the flow to this energy.

Even if it is still moving,

Slowly even,

It is still flowing.

There is no need to force anything and no need to feel unease.

The stagnation of this energy in our body can often feel heavy,

Stale,

And even toxic at times.

This is what anger does to our energy.

This is what resentment and frustration feel like in our body.

All of them lead to destruction.

Freeing this energy helps us build loving,

Compassionate connections in our life.

We can create,

We can expand.

Just like the connective tissue in our body spreads in ways that we may not be aware of,

Looking at the world through love and kindness over anger helps us spread this love through our life in ways that we may not even imagine.

We make clear,

Decisive choices.

We step out into the world,

Creating peace.

Allow this energy,

This light,

To complete whichever circuit you may be on.

And then notice any areas in your body where the energy still feels stale or where the light did not flow easily along the meridian lines.

Contact this area now with one hand,

Bringing the other hand to your forehead.

Return your awareness to this area of your body.

Watch any feelings of heaviness.

Notice the sensations within.

Allow any thoughts that come up to leave just as freely.

Using deep breaths,

Breathing into this area,

Exhaling completely.

Breathing into these sensations,

Allowing the heaviness to leave with ease.

That toxic energy is no longer useful,

Just as the frustrations are no longer useful.

When you feel ready,

Releasing your hands and using the right hand,

Contact the pulse points on your left wrist.

Feel into the middle pulse point,

Two fingers away from the left thumb.

Using its strength,

Rhythm,

That beat.

Now thinking of any area in your life where you feel that anger has clouded your judgment.

You feel like you are still holding onto any resentment or frustrations.

Remember this situation and notice how it feels within your body.

Where does the tension pull?

While keeping your hands,

Contacting the pulse point,

Bringing your left hand to your forehead and remember back to that situation that you wish to clear.

All of the frustration,

Everything that is not fair.

Feel what it is doing in your body,

Knowing that you are safe to be.

Notice those feelings of tension and allow them to be released.

See how these reactions begin to settle and ask yourself,

How can I view this situation through the lens of love?

Where can I show kindness?

Who most needs my compassion?

Can you unconditionally love yourself?

Maybe it's love for someone else or whatever situation that this anger may have been directed at.

Feel that love now replace the anger.

Feel your energy return to balance.

When the charge around the emotion has completely settled and your body feels more at ease,

Release your hands and keep your awareness within.

Keep your attention down,

Down into your feeling body,

Out of the thinking mind.

Feel this ease within.

Can you bring it into your day?

Remember it,

Call upon it in any situation that you may need.

Noticing now the room around you.

Notice the floor that you might be sitting on or the chair that's supporting your body.

Allow your awareness to spread now to the outside world.

Any sounds around you,

What may be going on in your day.

Take as much time as you need before slowly returning to the world around you and opening your eyes.
