A simple breathing meditation to help manage stress and create calm.

As always,

If you'd like to welcome in the soothing,

Havening touch,

Palm against palm as though you're washing your hands under warm water,

Arms crossed across your chest,

Fingertips resting on your shoulders and hands moving gently down to your elbows and repeating that motion in a loving,

Moving hug,

Or fingertips gently moving across the top of your brow,

Circling your eyebrows or underneath your eyes,

That will deepen this experience.

So let's begin.

I invite you to take a moment and move into a comfortable position,

Ensuring that you will not be disturbed and inviting your body to shift and settle in whatever way feels most comfortable for you,

Right here,

Right now.

Breathing is the most important thing that we do,

It is keeping you alive,

Yet most of us do not notice our breath all day long,

And for some,

If ever.

This is why it is so crucial to invite your mind and your body to move into an intentional relationship with your breath and to oxygenate your body fully and consciously.

Let's welcome in five deep,

Healing breaths together.

1.

Fully inhale,

Imagining you're welcoming in positive energy deep into your mind and your body and as you exhale,

A gentle letting go of your breath,

Moving into a state of relaxation.

Breathing in again,

Inhaling all that is good and well in this world,

And exhaling deeper into that relaxation,

Breathing in again,

Moving into acceptance and kindness as you welcome in the soothing air,

And as you lovingly release that breath,

Invite any judgment or tension to move and release with that breath.

2.

Breathing in again,

Inhaling health and clarity,

Inviting it to expand,

And exhaling a sense of deep connection and moving into a serene,

Connected experience of yourself and the world around you.

And finally,

Breathing in one more time,

Inhaling all that you desire,

And a deep sense of achievement,

And exhaling into complete relaxation.

Letting go of all concerns from daily life here in this moment.

Very good.

Now invite your breath to return to its usual cadence,

Noticing and inviting your awareness to travel alongside that gentle inhalation,

And the easy release,

Simply feeling and noticing the space around you.

As you breathe in,

Notice how the very air that you're breathing in is also gently hugging your entire being.

3.

As you're breathing out,

Noticing the constructs that are holding you up,

The ground,

The furniture,

Any cushions,

And how your body moves effortlessly into connection with the space you inhabit.

4.

Even notice if you can feel the very earth below you,

How it's holding you up,

Supporting you.

Beautiful.

Now invite your awareness to travel to the very top of your head,

And put all of your attention there,

Noticing any sensations,

And gently moving down,

Greeting your face,

Your neck,

And your shoulders,

5.

And noticing the gentleness of your breath as it welcomes air in to heal,

And as you invite your breath to release and exhale.

6.

And notice that conscious expanding and contracting of your breath,

And know that this happens all day long in a loving,

Soothing rhythm,

7.

Ensuring that you have everything that your mind and your body need through this gentle,

Loving act of breath.
