Wisdom at Work is a series meant for those of us who find ourselves fragmented. This meditation takes us to the center of our being. It is here we find clarity and deeper knowing. It is from this place we can lead our lives in greater alignment; it is from here we listen and can lead our organizations toward a common good. Today on Wisdom at Work,

We explore our understanding of wisdom.

Wisdom is not knowing more,

But knowing deeper.

This deep knowing is the ability to be still and to allow insight and intuition to emerge.

It is from our deep inner connection that possibilities come forth.

Let us move deeper into that place now.

I invite you to find a place where you won't be disturbed,

Where you can be comfortable.

It makes no difference to wisdom if you're standing or sitting or lying down.

Let's begin by bringing our attention to the center of our chest,

To our heart.

Simply focusing on your breath,

Breathing in and out.

Allow yourself to relax more deeply,

To be a little bit more present.

Allow any areas of tension to just let go.

Simply release any tightness,

Stress or strain.

Allowing ourselves to be,

We breathe in and out.

Wisdom comes from the place where we are all one.

Getting to this place makes our life so much more meaningful,

Allows us to direct our own lives with more clarity,

To lead our organizations.

Continue to gather yourself,

Returning your attention back to the center of your chest,

To relax more completely,

To just surrender the thoughts that continue to come.

There is a certain quality of being when it comes to wisdom,

A stillness,

A deep peace.

This is not something known in our crazy frantic world.

Both our mindfulness and our silence practice contribute to our capacity to know deeper.

A strong inner being allows us to see with more clarity.

In wholeness,

Clarity is already there.

She simply awaits our attention.

Continue to allow the rhythm of your breath to relax and center you.

Feel your breath rise and fall.

If there's any tension left,

Simply allow it to loosen and release.

As we remember our wholeness,

There is a softening,

An allowing that occurs.

Our breath drops into alignment with our heart.

There is a rhythm to our being.

Our thoughts are less scattered,

Easier to suspend and let go.

Simply watching them float away.

You may have other sensations as you move deeply into presence.

It could be a tingling,

A warmth,

An expansion.

None of these are specifically important.

It's just your way into wholeness.

The strength that we build here shows up in our psychological development and in our spiritual transformation.

The deeper we are able to see into wisdom,

To know into wisdom,

To feel into wisdom,

The stronger we are internally.

It is the strength that allows us to lead our lives differently.

This wisdom,

This knowing.

Knowing wisdom is a form of growth,

A transformation of our being.

It is not about more knowledge,

Although it includes all of our training and education.

It allows us to use our knowledge in a more creative way,

In a more expanded way.

Allow this expanded place to build within you,

To become stronger,

To become clearer,

To become more known.

If you have a specific question,

It is now time to ask,

To ask for her wisdom,

To ask for her help,

To allow her to help you.

Simply holding this state is a powerful transformation as well.

Take a moment now to feel this presence.

What does wisdom feel like to you?

Let's bring our attention now once again back to our breath,

To become more fully embodied,

Fully present here and now,

Wiggling our toes and our fingers,

Allowing ourselves to be awake,

Alert and alive,

Ready to continue our day.

Simply move forward with a deeper sense of peace,

A deeper knowing.

I found the contained message and your insights about wisdom very profound. Yet I think if you'd put a smile on your face while speaking, the words might pierce our hearts more directly. ☺️💘
