Welcome to Wisdom at Work.
Today we're going to explore surrender.
There's a paradox for you.
Surrendering at work.
Most would say that's absolute weakness.
Even ridiculous.
And yet you may find your power.
It takes a great deal of psychological strength to expand into a broader whole.
It takes stillness to listen and to see the patterns that run throughout our lives,
Our organizations,
Even our families.
So find your comfortable spot.
The place you're least likely to be disturbed.
Settle in.
Get comfortable.
And take a nice deep breath or two.
Today we will explore surrender from a holographic whole.
That's not the hologram that's on your credit card.
But a true,
Deep,
Interconnected wholeness.
Where energy carries information and is distributed throughout the entire system.
It's what makes our connection possible right now.
It is a specific frequency here on Insight Timer that allows this to be a connection between you and me.
But our interconnection is actually much more profound.
Continue to breathe.
Let the manic thoughts settle down.
Let the frantic activity go.
Be here.
Breathing in and out.
To move into a state of surrender.
We need to settle our body.
Calm our nervous system.
Allow our heart rate and our breathing to smooth.
As we surrender,
We allow our heart and our mind to open.
We're not surrendering to some malignant power.
We're not even surrendering to stupidity.
We engage our whole mind.
A holographic whole allows us to move into coherence.
We remain our judgment and our discernment.
So continue to allow your breath to settle.
To calm you.
To drop in your own natural rhythm.
Continue to bring your attention to the center of your chest to feel your heart and your breath synchronizing.
Allow your body to relax.
If there's a place of tension or stress.
Allow that to release.
Wiggle and readjust if you need to.
Drop your shoulders.
Allow as we move deeper and deeper into our own center.
Undivided wholeness includes all.
All of the problems and all the solutions.
So pick an issue that you would like to see differently.
Can be big or small.
And hold it lightly.
If you feel yourself gripping it too tight.
Let it float in front of you.
Allow it to simply just be there.
Without fear or without attachment.
Allow yourself to see it,
Know it,
Feel it.
As your clarity of thought emerges.
Alternate possibilities.
Alternate viewpoints.
Alternate actions begin to arise.
It is here where we use our discernment.
We don't jump on any possible insight too quickly.
We hold that lightly as well.
We can go ahead and let it slip in here sometimes.
We simply allow.
Surrender it all.
Breathe it in and out.
Begin to expand into the wholeness that you already are.
Let it sit and let it sink.
You have to feel that.
That is the whole point.
The insights and intuitions we gain allow more diverse ideas to come.
Done in a group in a safe environment,
It is a powerful powerful thing.
In the wholeness of ourselves,
In our interconnection,
And be present and surrender.
Surrendering allows us to know more deeply,
Allows us to get out of our own way to the presence of undivided wholeness.
This exercise has a cumulative effect.
We can allow ourselves to move back here more quickly,
As we accept and allow,
As we relax and release the obstacles in our way.
Surrender moves us through a process of releasing and allowing,
Expanding our perception.
It allows us to move beyond limited points of view,
Conflicting points of view.
This process allows us to stay centered in our heart,
Our mind,
And our body.
Fully grounded,
Fully connected.
Bringing our attention back into our chest,
Feeling the rise and the fall of our breath,
We begin to become more aware and more present to the room that we are in.
Wiggling our feet and our toes and our hands and our arms.
I invite you to be awake,
Alert,
And alive as you move back into your work,
Back into your day.
