My name is Dr.

Gail Gross and it is my pleasure to guide you through a meditation to enhance your creativity.

For it is through connecting the unconscious to consciousness that one transcends both the body and the mind to reach higher states of creativity.

Twice daily practice of 20 minutes establishes a pattern of consistency which expands consciousness.

Keeping the mind focused singularly returns it to its natural state of calm.

By focusing on a mantra or your breath the mind becomes distracted from its daily distractions.

There are many mantras to pick from.

A mantra is a Sanskrit tone which has no meaning and can steady and focus the mind.

Because the mind cannot attach any association to the mantra it both stabilizes and relaxes itself.

Some examples of mantras include the universal mantra Om,

Soham,

Omkhrim,

Hungsa,

Sohang,

Shanti,

Om Shanti,

Shanti Om,

Hari Om and so forth.

Whichever mantra you choose stay with it as consistency in meditation is very important.

The same is true of your breathing technique.

The simplest technique is to notice the cool air that touches your nostrils on your breath in and the warm air that you experience on your out breath.

When combining both the breathing techniques and mantra mentally repeat the first part of the mantra on the in-breath and the second part of the mantra on the out-breath.

For example using the mantra Omkhrim,

Om would be mentally repeated on the in-breath and Khrim would be mentally repeated on the out-breath.

Be aware of the breath as it carries your mantra in and out.

This practice takes focus and attention on both breath and the mantra.

In meditation it is important to keep the spine straight.

The traditional cross leg position is often uncomfortable for Westerners,

Hence lying on your back on a mat with your legs a foot apart and your arms relaxed at your sides.

The key is to keep the spine straight.

We will begin our meditation by utilizing both the breath and the mantra.

You will notice that if you are lying on your back you are breathing through your diaphragm.

This is in fact the normal way to breathe,

The way we all breathe as children.

Pay attention to your breathing rhythm,

Just witness it.

With your eyes closed focus on your breath.

Breathe deeply on both inhalation and exhalation.

Now follow your breath with your mind.

Notice that when the air comes through your nostrils it is cool and when it goes out it is warm.

Stay focused only on the coolness of the in-breath and the warmness of the out-breath.

You will do this for three minutes.

You you you you you you you next you will move to your mantra with eyes still closed and spine straight and relaxed as you use your inner voice and repeat your mantra vital energy moves upward toward the crown simply repeat the mantra and now focus your eyes on the third eye if distracting thoughts or sounds enter your meditation do not resist them but welcome them into your meditation what resists persists and by not fighting distractions they merge neutrally into your meditation now as the body relaxes deeper and deeper into meditation let go of both your breathing technique and your mantra and concentrate on the intention to merge with the inner voice the real you this helps you access the unconscious in this expanded state consciousness merges into the unconscious this is the source of your creativity it is now in the soft and open space that you can have an inner dialogue with your unconscious which is your bridge to the creative impulse using a positive and present message silently inform the unconscious of your intention to enhance creativity don't just hear this request feel it with deep and abiding emotion by attaching tension to your request hold the tension by expanding the intensity of your feelings and open yourself as a vessel through which creativity can enter do this for five minutes you you you you you you you you you you now feel the flow of creativity fill you up it is in this transcendent state that manifestation can take form allow yourself to swim in the divine where space and time no longer exist and all that is is creativity bring your mind back to the project of your intention see it coming into focus through your mind's eye see your creative energy create a positive outcome for your project watch it in real time visually manifest using your imagination and all five senses to enhance the details of sight and sound by engaging all the senses creatively using imagery down to the most minute detail you invite the unconscious to dance through you and participate with you this is how you manifest creativity stay with this imagery and enhance it so vitally that you find yourself as if in a daydream experiencing the success of your venture then set the intention that upon ending your meditation you will remember what you had created and witnessed do this now for three minutes you you you you you you now end your meditation by positively affirming to yourself that you can return to this state whenever you wish give thanks to your inner voice for giving you access to your creative self when you are ready return your breathing to its normal rhythm and gently open your eyes next physically write down your creative experience in a journal this not only engages your inner world but it solidifies and concretizes your experience in the outer world consistency is the key to creativity the more you practice the more available your mind is to its inner voice and natural state thus you become a conduit to the natural self by awakening to your own capacity to manifest creatively you

So great! Thanks! I only wish the music had been different, since no doubt it’s beautiful, for this purpose in particular I found it a little distracting. Something a little more calm would have been better for me. But the guiding was so good and helpful. πŸ™πŸΌ
