Hi and welcome,
I'm Donna.
In this meditation we're going to allow the body to unwind and let go.
You find yourself a comfortable position,
Maybe it's seated or lying down.
Just observe the contact of your body with the earth or ground below.
Observe the rise maybe through the crown of the head up to the sky.
Feel that gentle connection between the earth below,
The mother and the sky above,
The father.
Start to draw the awareness into the softening of the breath.
Visualising each breath slowly coming in through the nose.
And a soft cascading out the nose.
Imagining now on each exhale breath,
The body starts to relax just a little bit more.
You might even like to sigh on the way out,
Allowing the breath to release anything that's needed.
Each exhale breath,
Tension leaves the body.
And each inhale breath,
New energy draws in.
Visualising this gentle waterfall cascading as you exhale,
Releasing,
Letting go.
The body starting to soften.
A feeling of calm trickling down the back of the spine.
And starting to observe a lightness throughout the physical body.
As the body becomes lighter with each exhale.
Starting to imagine that the body is gently levitating off the floor.
And as the body rises,
The tension just melts away,
Flowing out the body down into mother earth.
The body soft.
The breath gently flowing in and out.
Just staying with this lightness.
The body feeling free.
All tension just melting away.
Gently cascading off the body on each exhale breath.
And in your mind's eye,
Drawing yourself back down to connect with the floor below you.
Feeling the connection of the physical body with the surface below.
And gently starting to allow the breath to deepen.
Starting to be aware of the physical space that you're taking up.
And in your own time,
Allowing the eyes to gently flick open.
Coming back.
Feeling lighter.
