I find that many women carry fear and anxiety around birth. Hypnobirthing techniques can be so powerful in shifting the mind away from fear, pain and doubt to feelings of confidence, strength and empowerment. Sometimes all it takes is learning and practicing the art of relaxation, and most of all, of surrender. Listening to a hypnobirthing script on a weekly basis during pregnancy can start to plant positive seeds in the mind to support you on the big day. Enjoy, and exhale.

Let's begin this hypno-birthing relaxation session together.

As we begin,

Start to feel more and more calm,

More relaxed,

Especially as I count down from five to zero.

Five,

Sinking down into relaxation.

Four,

Three,

Feeling even more soft,

More supple.

Two,

One,

Zero.

Taking a deep breath now,

Breathing out,

Letting go of all the things that no longer serve you.

Stress,

Fear,

Control.

Replacing them with confidence,

Self-worth,

Self-reliance,

Self-love as you breathe in deeply and fully.

Slowing down your breathing to a gentle,

Natural rhythm,

The natural rhythm of the breath.

Just breathing the body without having to do anything.

Focusing on the sound of my voice to fully encompass and absorb these positive messages,

These positive affirmations for birth.

Remember that your body knows how to give birth.

A deep,

Intrinsic intelligence.

You can choose to hand control over to your body,

To that inner knowing,

That inner intelligence.

Allow your primitive instincts to come to the surface to do what it's known to do for centuries and beyond.

You relax your body,

Release.

You flow effortlessly through your birth.

You accept all sensations.

You welcome in each one.

All of them there on purpose,

Meant to be perfectly timed,

Perfectly placed.

Because each one means you're one step closer to meeting your baby.

Each one is an indication of the baby moving down,

Coming closer to this world,

To you,

To life.

Trust that your baby's birth has its own perfect time scale.

You inhale deeply and fully as you meet each surge,

Each contraction,

And you exhale to release.

Your body is loose,

Limp,

And heavy like a ragdoll.

You are able to fully relax and let go,

To let the mind move away and let the body completely take over.

Relax your face,

Your jaw,

Your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your lungs,

And your belly,

Your pelvic floor completely relaxed.

Continue to choose to let go of anything you don't need.

You feel strength.

You feel confident.

Keep listening to your inner voice.

Keep doing what feels good.

Movement,

Breath,

Positioning,

Love,

Quiet,

Privacy.

Follow whatever path your baby's birth takes with peace.

Create a safe,

Quiet place for you.

With each surge,

You are more and more relaxed and ease and focused.

You ride each sensation and trust your body.

You loosen up.

You open.

You release.

You are nurtured by those around you quietly encouraging you,

Reminding you that you are doing exactly what you are meant to do in the exact way that you are meant to do it.

That you are powerful beyond your own knowing,

That you are strong beyond your own understanding.

Women all over the world are birthing with you.

You draw in timeless strength and courage.

There is nothing you need to do except breathe,

Relax,

And listen to your body.

Allow the love hormones to flow and flood through you,

Wash over you.

When the time is right,

You surrender to increasingly powerful downward sensations.

You meet the different energy of transition with courage and acceptance.

Soon you will meet your baby.

Breathe down to your belly,

To your baby.

Be open to all the different rhythms of your personal birth journey.

Dig deeper down,

Even more focused.

Your tissues naturally fan out and give way to make room for baby as baby crowns with ease,

Welcoming it with open arms.

Pure love,

Pure acceptance,

Pure connection.

And now finishing this session.

Two,

Slowly waking up three,

Becoming more aware of your surroundings four,

And opening the eyes five.

I really enjoyed this. I think it will be vital in preparing me mentally for the birth of my baby in in the new year. I liked what was said about how my body knows how to do this, and I can choose to let my body be in control.
