This guided practice is designed to help you forgive yourself completely and move on from the past. By forgiving yourself you set yourself free to experience a new reality. This practice will also help you open your heart more and allow for more love and energy to flow through you, thus ultimately supporting a state of heart and brain coherence. This meditation is inspired by the teachings of Dr. Joe Dispenza, the science of forgiveness, and the Hawaiian forgiveness technique of the Ho’oponopono mantra. Forgiveness is key to setting ourselves free from the old self. When we forgive ourselves, we dis-identify from the old self and the past. In this way, we liberate energy to create a new future. Practicing this meditation often will help you to open your heart more and more and create space for new things, people, and situations to show up in your life as you retire the old self and merge with a new you that is free of shame, self-judgment, blame, guilt, and self-punishment.

Forgiveness of Self Find a comfortable place where you can sit on a chair or on the ground or simply lay down.

Close your eyes.

Inhaling through your nose,

Exhaling out of your mouth.

Sending a wave of warm,

Nurturing energy from the top of your head all the way down to your toes.

Slowing down,

Lengthening your breath.

Feeling the body expand and open as the wave of energy moves through it.

As your breath slows down and lengthens.

Relaxing more and more with each and every breath.

Allowing for any negative thoughts or emotions to dissolve.

You're not suppressing or repressing these thoughts or emotions.

You're simply allowing them to flow through you.

Letting them go as they form.

Allowing for the flow of mental and emotional energy to move through you without leaving any impression.

Relaxing.

Breathing.

Empty.

Now think about things that you haven't let go of.

Circumstances,

Situations,

Relationships where you have interpreted yourself as being wrong.

Not being good enough.

Having done harm.

Connecting to all the parts of yourself that react to these circumstances.

Getting in touch with the guilt,

The shame.

All the judgments.

Punishments of yourself.

In regard to what you have interpreted as mistakes that you've made.

Allowing for all of this material,

All of the memories of pain,

Of hurt.

All of the accumulation to come up to the surface.

Feeling it in your body.

Allowing for all the negative thoughts and negative emotions to come up.

Breathing through it,

Relaxing through it,

Opening your heart.

Noticing each and every body part that becomes tense,

That is holding on.

Breathing light.

Breathing love into those parts of your body that are tense.

That are storing these memories.

Allowing for all the pain to dissolve as you bring more and more space,

More and more light.

Cleansing,

Healing these parts of your body that are hurt.

As you do so,

Allow for whatever negative thoughts and emotions associated with these memories to come up.

Releasing them.

Realizing that you don't need to hold on to anything.

That you can forgive yourself right now.

That you don't need to shame,

Judge or punish yourself for any chance to take place.

Trusting yourself.

Healing the parts of yourself that are hurt.

Sending them love.

Healing energy.

Feeling these parts open more,

The body relax more,

More new energy flowing into these parts.

Allowing for new experiences to come into your life.

Releasing the old.

Creating space in the body,

In the mind,

In your heart.

For life to flow.

Forgiving yourself completely.

Sending love,

Compassion,

Forgiveness into all the parts of yourself that are holding on.

Feeling the body continuously expand and open.

Feeling the mind empty.

The heart open.

Feeling joy,

Happiness.

Relaxing into it.

Allowing for more of the parts that are hurt at deeper levels to surface.

Allowing for all the memories of pain,

Of hurt that you haven't forgiven to be forgiven now.

Releasing all the memories of pain one by one.

Intending.

Offering.

Traditional love and forgiveness to these parts.

Feeling these parts become lighter,

Brighter,

More open.

Feeling the entire body more open,

Lighter and brighter.

As you continue,

Part by part,

To heal and release all memories of pain.

Dissolving all the judgments,

All the expectations,

All the ways in which you have been punishing yourself.

Visualizing these parts,

Saying,

I love you.

Watching them open.

Watching them become lighter as you continue to repeat,

I love you.

Sending love into those parts.

Sending love into yourself.

Offering complete forgiveness.

As you feel more and more relaxed,

More and more peaceful.

Tell those parts,

I'm sorry.

Acknowledging the hurt,

The pain that those parts have felt.

Saying,

I'm sorry.

I'm sorry for all the pain,

All the hurt.

Repeating,

I'm sorry until you feel a shift,

You feel those parts lighter.

The body more relaxed,

More expanded.

Next.

Begin to repeat the statement,

Please forgive me.

Recognizing any parts of you that have judged and punished yourself.

And letting this go,

Healing them.

Asking for forgiveness.

Please forgive me.

Please forgive me.

Feeling the parts become lighter,

More open.

Allowing for all the memories of pain to dissolve.

Releasing all negative thoughts and negative emotions.

Feeling more and more relaxed.

Finally,

Say thank you.

Thanking those parts.

Recognizing the value,

The growth,

The understanding of any experience.

Expressing gratitude for having forgiven completely,

For forgiving yourself.

Feeling grateful for receiving this forgiveness.

For feeling open,

Quiet,

Relaxed.

Slowly beginning to deepen your breath.

Wiggling your fingers and your toes.

And gently opening your eyes.
