This practice uses the Sedona method to help you let go and free yourself from the stress, anxiety, and other unwanted emotions that come as a result of holding on to past hurt, pain, conflict, and trauma. The content and inspiration for this track comes from the original Sedona method and relaxation techniques that support the process of letting go. Letting go and surrendering is a process. It’s possible to learn it and therefore to become able to let go with less resistance and pain.

Transcript

Sedona release.

Find a comfortable place where you can sit on a chair or on the ground or simply lay down.

Close your eyes and begin to relax.

Relaxing each and every body part starting with your head,

Your neck,

Your shoulders,

Your chest,

Your abdomen,

Your back.

Relaxing your arms,

Your hands,

Your fingers.

Relaxing your hips,

Your sacrum,

Sit bones,

Pelvic floor.

Relaxing your legs,

Your feet,

Your toes.

Sending a wave of warm,

Nurturing energy through each and every body part.

Dissolving the tension,

Discomfort in your physical body.

Inhaling through your nose,

Exhaling out of your mouth.

Releasing more of the tension,

Pain and contraction in your physical body.

Feeling the body expand with each and every breath.

Slowing down,

Lengthening your breath.

Feeling the energy moving freely through your body as you expand and dissolve all the tensions.

Breathing into the space of your mind.

Emptying,

Quieting your mind.

Dissolving the thoughts as they form.

Feeling more and more spaciousness,

Openness in your mind.

The body responds to this openness with more relaxation.

Relaxing your breath more,

Relaxing your body more.

Emptying your mind more.

Feeling your heart open as you sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Allowing for any negativity to dissolve.

Cleansing your heart of any negative emotion.

Letting go of any sadness,

Anger,

Stress or anxiety.

Opening your heart to new experiences,

To joy,

Fulfillment,

Happiness,

Inner peace.

As you sink deeper and deeper into relaxation.

Think about certain negative aspects of your life that you'd like to release.

Expectations,

Judgments,

Fears,

Beliefs,

Negative thoughts,

Negative emotions.

Anything and everything that is not supporting an existence of inner peace,

Joy and harmony.

Choose one right now,

Recurring or a new one that has come up in your life recently and brought about inner or outer conflict.

That you want to let go of.

Bringing it into the forefront of your consciousness,

Observing it.

Feeling how your body reacts to it,

Any negative thoughts,

Negative emotions that come as a result.

And asking three questions.

Could I let it go?

Would I let it go?

And when?

As you ask each question,

Take a moment to feel the response from your body,

Your mind,

Your heart.

Sinking deeper into relaxation,

Into quietness,

Openness.

As you let go.

Feeling a complete release if you choose to let go right now.

Feeling free of that fear,

That belief,

Negative emotion,

Negative thought.

Continue letting go using this method.

Choosing whatever is right now in your consciousness.

Whatever it is that is creating conflict,

Pain,

Unhappiness in your life.

Asking the question,

Could I let it go?

Would I let it go?

And when?

Listening to the response in your physical body,

Your mind,

Your heart.

As you ask,

Could I?

You're inquiring if there is a possibility that you could indeed let go of this feeling,

This emotion,

This fear,

This belief.

Waiting for a response in your body in the form of relaxation.

If you feel that you could,

Let it go.

If you feel resistance,

It simply means that at this point in time you cannot let it go.

There are other fears,

Other beliefs that are preventing you from releasing.

If you have found relaxation and a yes answer to the first question,

Move into the second question,

Would I let it go?

Inquiring,

Asking if it is a possibility in the present moment or soon enough that you would actually let it go.

Waiting for a response in the form of relaxation.

Openness,

Emptiness.

And unless once again you feel resistance in the form of negative thoughts,

Negative emotions,

Contraction and tension in the physical body.

Then move on to the last question,

Asking when?

To which,

If you are willing to let it go now,

You will find the body relaxing into it.

The mind becoming quiet,

The heart open as you let it go right now.

If you find resistance,

It means that there is still a little more work,

A little more investigation,

Exploration as to what is keeping this belief,

This fear,

Negative thoughts,

Negative emotions,

Expectations in place.

Give yourself that space,

That openness using the Sedona Method.

Anytime you feel the need to release,

Throughout the day anytime you find yourself dancing around something,

Creating blockages as you hold the energy in.

Use this method again and again to let go continuously,

To free yourself from tension,

To allow for the flow of energy to move through you.

To release all memories and be present from moment to moment.

Experiencing greater joy,

Happiness,

Inner peace.

When you are ready,

Slowly begin to deepen your breath.

Remaining relaxed,

Wiggle your fingers and your toes,

Slowly coming back.

Keeping the mind quiet,

The heart open and gently opening your eyes.

Oh yes. Just what I needed this morning. I learnt the Sedona Method over 20 years ago and found it very helpful. Over time I used the questions only sporadically as I tended more to vipassana practice. But I realised during this guided practise that when the questions had become mechanical. I really liked the way you presented the questions, reminding me to allow time for the answers and the release to arise in the body, and accepting of a "no" if that's the reality of the present moment - allowing the relaxation and release arise naturally. Thank you. Umm... I didn't like the chimes at the end... sorry. Maybe I'll come to like them, too. Thank you 🙏
