Join me in this gentle and nurturing meditation, rooted in the traditional loving-kindness (metta) practice. We'll embark on a journey inward, connecting with our breath and heart. Through the repetition of good wishes towards yourself, allow these positive intentions to nourish your heart and soul, enveloping you in a warm embrace of loving-kindness. This practice is perfect for anyone seeking to deepen their self-love and find peace within. Take this time for yourself and emerge feeling more connected and compassionate towards your own being. From my heart to yours.

Easing your way into your meditation posture.

It could be sitting or lying down.

One that serves you best today.

Perhaps take a moment to check in with yourself.

What is it that I need right now?

Begin to sense and feel into the body for the answers.

And as you settle into that posture,

Begin to notice your heart beating,

Feel the chest rising and falling.

And when you are ready,

Let's take a deep breath together.

In through the nose,

Out through the mouth.

Continue for a few more rounds of breath like this.

Breathing in deeply.

And as you exhale,

See if you can soften a little bit more.

And slowly allowing your breath to come back to its natural rhythm.

I now invite you to visualize an image of yourself.

Picture yourself as you are right now.

Or if it feels right,

See yourself as a child.

If visualization does not resonate with you,

Try sensing and feeling into your presence.

As you hold this image in your mind,

Gently repeat these phrases to yourself.

May I be happy.

As you say this,

Recall a time when you felt truly happy.

It doesn't matter who was with you or what happened.

Focus on the pure feeling of happiness.

Let it fill your heart as you continue to repeat.

May I be happy.

Next,

Repeat the phrase.

May I be safe.

Think back to a moment when you felt completely safe.

Once again,

The details aren't as important as the feeling of safety itself.

Let that sense of security fill you as you repeat.

May I be safe.

Now say to yourself.

May I be healthy.

Wish for health in your mind,

Body and heart.

Remember a time when you felt vibrant,

Full of life.

Let this wish resonate deeply within you as you repeat.

May I be healthy.

Finally,

Repeat the phrase.

May I live with ease.

Bring to mind a time when you felt at ease,

Free from stress and worry.

Feel that sense of peace and ease in your body as you continue to say.

May I live with ease.

Notice how each phrase feels within you,

Allowing these heartfelt wishes to create a nurturing and positive intention for yourself.

Repeat these phrases,

And as you do,

Pay attention to any sensations in your body.

Often,

This feeling is known as metta,

Or loving-kindness.

It's a sense of acceptance,

A sense of tenderness towards ourselves.

See if you can sit with this feeling for a few more moments.

Allow this gentle,

Compassionate energy to envelop you,

Nourishing your heart and soul.

May you continue to give yourself the love you desire and deserve.

With each breath in and out,

Feel your heart expand just a little bit more.

And when you are ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Take a moment to thank yourself and your own heart,

Which has been with you through it all.

Thank you for practicing with me.

From my heart to yours.
