Hello and welcome.
Thank you for joining me.
My name is Deb and today I will be guiding you through an affirmation practice reminding you that you are enough.
We are constantly on the go,
Striving and achieving as much as we can.
There are moments where we may feel like we are not measuring up to society's expectations or we feel inadequate and a sense of unworthiness creeps in.
What we tend to overlook is that our true essence extends beyond mere achievements and smashing goals.
It is our individual sense of identity that truly sets us apart as extraordinary human beings.
So today we are going to work with affirmations which are statements we say to ourselves,
For ourselves and by ourselves.
We will place our attention on five affirmations to remind us that we are enough to live our lives bravely and authentically,
Easing your way into a comfortable seated position.
If it feels right you may gently close down the eyes or maintain a soft gaze.
Take a moment to check in with how you are feeling right now.
Start to rest your attention on the breath.
Take three deeper,
Fuller breaths at your own pace.
With each in-breath,
Breathing positivity and light and with each out-breath,
Let go of anything that is not serving you right now and gently allowing your breath to come back to its natural rhythm.
See if you can soften the body just a little bit more and settle into stillness.
Arriving into this present moment and if it feels right you may place one hand on your heart or just visualize that.
Holding yourself with compassion and gentleness.
Notice what it feels like as I read you these affirmations.
Allow them to land in your heart.
I am a beautiful human being radiating life and joy.
I may not know everything and that's okay.
It's an opportunity for me to discover and grow.
I will not stress over things I cannot change.
I choose to be content.
I do not need anyone's love and approval as I embrace myself for exactly the person I am right now.
I am a kind,
Loving,
Powerful force in the world.
I am enough.
Let's sit quietly for a few moments allowing your heart to open.
Giving yourself permission to feel what it is you need to feel for these words to hold true and if nothing comes up for you that's okay.
Just sit with a feeling of breathing and as this practice draws to a close notice how the earth is tenderly supporting you right now.
Start to pay attention to the sounds around you.
Take a few deeper inhalations and exhalations and when you're ready gently blink your eyes open and return your attention to the room.
