Flower Garden Meditation
by Dean Burnell
This Flower Garden Meditation is a guided visualisation that invites you to settle into the body and connect with a sense of ease, abundance, and kindness. Beginning with attention to posture and breath, the practice gently encourages you to imagine a vast, beautiful flower garden filled with an extraordinary variety of colours, shapes, fragrances, and movement. As the meditation unfolds, you are invited to explore the experience of giving and receiving. You imagine gathering flowers into bouquets—first offering them to yourself, then to someone you love, someone who is struggling, and eventually to all beings everywhere. Throughout the practice, the garden is never diminished; each act of giving is met with renewal and growth, symbolising generosity, care, and the limitless nature of kindness. The meditation offers space to notice emotional and bodily responses to giving, receiving, and witnessing joy.
